The hardware has been amazing. Laptop build is as close to Apple as you can get with a Windows Device. Its my first Razer product and I am very happy with it.

That being said - there are a LOT of little bugs and issues here and there. BUT they are not hardware related - that's the big difference a lot of people aren't saying in their reviews.

As an example, I have frequent issues with Out of Memory errors when using Adobe and Windows Office Software. The RAM isn't even close to being maxed out.

It's good old Microsoft Windows coding that is causing me to reboot the machine daily. I am waiting to see Windows 11 mature a bit before upgrading.

Overall, I've been very pleased with this laptop. I needed something more powerful than my HP for video editing, because my HP kept crashing under the power of adobe premier.
    This handles the program beautifully.
It's fairly lightweight for how powerful it is, so will be nice to travel with. Battery lasts a good while before I have to charge it up (depending on what programs I'm running).
I will say, the screen isn't the best compared to my HP, but for the power needed, it's a fine compromise.
The amount of memory is definitely lacking though. You'll have to get either an external hard drive or add memory into the laptop (which is what we did, but you need a special screwdriver to undo the back panel...they are TINY).
Overall, for being able to video edit on the go, this is exactly what I was looking for.

The Razer Blade 15 Advanced Gaming Laptop 2021 is so much faster to work on than my old HP Laptop. The default setting of the keyboard lights is to be lit up all the time and the colors of the lighting constantly change except when I’m typing. I find all the color changes a bit annoying, but this can be changed to a static color in the Razer settings app. I had to do a little searching to find this setting, but I’m glad that I did.

The keyboard is much smaller than my last laptop, so there is a learning curve to getting used to it. The keys are closer together than the old one. I am typing faster than a few days ago when it was brand new, so it is easy to adjust to it.

Although this is a gaming computer, I am not very into gaming. There are large speakers on either side of the keyboard and the sound is excellent.

The battery does not seem to hold a charge for as long as it should for a new laptop. I forgot to plug it in while using it and found that it was powered nowhere near the amount of time that one would expect from a new battery in a new laptop. Maybe I need to change the display settings so that it’s not drawing as much power, but again, I expected the battery life to be longer.

The laptop comes with a version of Windows 10 installed, but it’s a free upgrade to bring it to Windows 11. The download and installation process was quick and I didn’t experience any issues with the upgrade. The display is very sharp with excellent color, brightness, and contrast. On the whole, I am enjoying using this more powerful, new laptop and anticipate years of using it.

The Razer Blade 15 gaming laptop is indeed much thinner than my Alienware gaming laptop, and it is really portable. This is my first computer with Windows 11 OS. I have to get familiar with this system. Let’s talk about first of the laptop experience give me impressive is its very snesitive and smooth. Yes, the laptop use the 11th-generation i7+16g memory gives the whole system a very smooth and fast. There are two speaker system beside the keyboard, and the sound effects is great. Of course, the Razer brand is lighting effect famous, and the keyboard of lighting is also great(I recommend installing its Razer software to set the keyboard lighting effect, and even link the different games were installed with different keyboard lighting effects) . I am glad the gaming latop has many ports and enough for my needs, such as three USB ports plus two type c ports, the c port can be extended to the hub( not included), There also has an HDMI interface and an SD card slot. I am amazing the laptop wifi speed is very fast, all can reach the speed of wifi 6. The Facial recognition is incresing the speed of turn on. The portability weight is same as ordinary thin and light notebooks, which is not at all a scary gaming notebook that is bulky and has loud fan noise. The screen is high definity and high refresh display screen(240hz) are good for gaming or video.
Let's talk about cons or needs to be improved:
-The laptop surface is made of aluminum alloy, but the surface is easy to collect fingerprints.
-Because there are speakers on both sides of the keyboard, the keyboard is a compact keyboard instead of a full keyboard, and there is no additional numeric keyboard. So far I didn’t familiar with for the structure of this keyboard, and there typing easy mistake.
-As for the problem of laptop heating, I personally think that if you watch the video without running the game, it is only warm on the keyborad. The fan heating is the latop bottom, so this part needs a holder maybe let its cooling.
-The large area of the touchpad is both an advantage and a disadvantage. Because of the large area, it will be touched by mistake when typing, especially when the right hand needs to be suspended.
-The battery is running faster than normal latptop, the 100% into the 88% battery with the 80% screen brightness is about 40 minutes, without games and videos! Only slight using.
I will update if I found other pros or cons.

I got this as an upgrade to my lightweight Celeron laptop. I mostly use my laptop for web browsing and some simple design programs. However, I wanted a laptop that would be capable of gaming as my husband works with an online multi-RPG. There's been holidays where we are over at my parents and we've had to leave early so that he can log in for work. With this, he'll be able to log in from my laptop instead. He doesn't like laptops, so had no interest in getting one for the game himself.

So the good and bad. The good... this runs better than my i5 desktop. I haven't experienced any lag. The specs on it alone are impressive and I expect it to function well with whatever I throw at it. It was easy to set up, and easy to use.

However... this thing is HEAVY! Going from a lightweight Celeron to this it's really easy to see just how heavy this is. It's still portable, but just not as lightweight and you'll want a padded shoulder strap if you have to carry it long. The adapter is also large and heavy, and barely fits in my laptop case.

In addition to the weight, this thing seems to run hotter. The air intake or something is underneath as well. Although the underneath gets raised up a bit, I personally like to sit with it on my lap in bed.... and when I do so it just doesn't get the air flow I think it wants. So far I haven't experienced any issues caused by it getting warm, and it's managed to cool itself at times, but I'm also not running intensive games that would likely make it even warmer. Obviously there are fans, and stands, and such you can use to help with this issue, and probably anything with these specs will run warm. I'm just a bit paranoid that I can't use it as a LAPtop because of how the air intakes/vents, whatever they are, are positioned underneath. But so far it's holding up.

I don't have another gaming laptop to compare this to. It seems like more than enough for what I, or rather my husband, will require for gaming. It's more than enough for my tasks, such as web browsing. As far as sound... it doesn't have bass... so if you want it to play nice deep music you will want other speakers. Overall I like it, but I am concerned IF it might overheat. And I do wish it were a bit lighter.

    Highlights:
--The Razer Blade 15 Advanced Gaming laptop is a pretty fast laptop
    --It looks amazing
--Slim and light, considering the internals
--Brightly lit keyboard and cool green logo on lid
    --Large battery brick

This is a sweet little laptop. It's one of the slimmest gaming laptops I have seen and the vapor chamber keeps it relatively cool. The price for a cool laptop is fan noise, and this has a lot. When playing games the upper deck near the display got to around 115 to 118 degrees.

The keyboard is okay, although it's a little mushy, and not Razer's best. The RGB is bright and when you hold down the FN key, the corresponding keys light up on the function row, like brightness, or volume.

The screen is sharp and bright, although on battery it needs to be close to full brightness so it's easy enough to see. As far as battery life goes, this one isn’t going to win any awards. Real world use with the screen at 70% will get you about 4 hours. To be fair, this is a gaming laptop, and it’s not really meant to be used as a work class PC. The Razer has a separate UHD video card, but the battery draw is still high even on the lower-powered card.

The battery connector is a weird beast. It’s angled and if you plug it in, in the way that looks natural, it will cover your side USB ports, so you’ll have to angle it, so the cord runs toward the display. It’s fine and even in an upright stand, the cord is manageable. It’s a shame this isn’t a straight plug, or better yet, a quick disconnect one like MacBook’s have gone back to.

The performance on this is great in games. It posted 9,353 in 3d mark’s Time Spy. I have an Alienware M15 R6 with a 3080 and it gets 11,431, but it’s a much beefier machine with even louder fans. So, if you want the best gaming performance in this price range, you may want to look at Alienware. I feel like the Razer is a MUCH nicer looking machine.

Overall, this is an impressive feat of engineering. Nice work, Razer!

I'm not entirely sure why there are so many negative reviews for this laptop as I have only had a great experience with it. Yes, it does run hot but I turned the fan speed up to max, and then it was ok. The fact that it runs hot is my only con for this laptop. Aside from that, I am very pleased with it for gaming purposes. It's powerful and offers a lot of specs. The design of this laptop is also beautiful - it's slim and sleek yet sturdy. The aluminum case is high quality as well.

Side by side, this laptop beats out our two oldests’ big desktop computers that they built solely for playing games. Before we opened it, they insisted that graphics card would not fit in a laptop and then they saw it.

This is a game playing beast. None of our laptops have ever had this much power or speed, though a much smaller screen obviously. They have called this laptop maniac and insane.

They went for the biggest games first -- Halo infinite runs smoothly. just about every game we tried had crazy good graphics and seamless game play

To be clear, I still died constantly.

I had read about an overheating issue and have a quadruple fan under it. Not sure if that will help or not but it isn’t a huge investment to make sure it keeps working.

I will update this if I find other issues. Too much being amazed by it at the moment.

The Blade 15 is a favorite with gamers for good reason & this upgrade gives plenty of reasons to keep it a favorite. I’m not going to list all the specs – you can find that on the Razer website & compare different models.

-The processor is upgraded to the Intel 11th Gen Core i7-11800H 8-Core.
    -The webcam is now 1080p.
-The build is still great with an aluminum body that not only looks great but is slim & relatively lightweight (4.4 LBS). I really like the metal body vs. the plastic bodies that so many competitors use.

    -There are plenty of ports:
    3 x USB3.2 Gen 2 Type-A Ports
    2 x Thunderbolt™ 4 Ports (USB-C)
    1 x Power Port
    1 x HDMI 2.1
    1 x UHS-III SD Card Reader
    1 x 3.5 mm Microphone Combo Jack
    1 x Kensington Lock Port

-It has a great looking screen & the refresh rate is excellent.
-As with most gaming laptops, this does not have a touchscreen.
-I really like the lighted keyboard.
    -The touchpad is very responsive.

-Serious gaming enthusiasts & creatives will probably be happy with this version (I am), but if you are more hardcore about gaming, etc. than I am, you may want to splash the extra money for the RTX3080 because you will get 32GB RAM vs. 16 GB with this model & the RTX3080 grahics vs. RTX3070.

-One big negative - the battery life is not as good which is surprising & unfortunate.

    Razer Blade 15 - 15 inches - 16 GB RAM - Intel CPU - 1 TB storage - Windows 11 Home (Intel 11th Gen, RTX 3070, QHD 240Hz)

My husband and I both are teachers, and we could use a laptop for our presentations, so I got this one. This delivers on the specs that are listed for this laptop. It’s thin for how much performance it has. Additionally, the screen is also pretty thin, but it seems pretty strong, and the frame is aluminum not plastic. Range on the brightness is spectacular, and the screen is very crisp. The laptop runs quietly when it isn’t under high performance, and the touchpad doesn’t pick up the extra palm movements you can sometimes accidentally make. The rubber strips on the bottom of the laptop give the fans that are underneath some clearance on a flat surface. Unlike most modern laptops, this one has 3 USB-A ports and 2 USB-C, and a HDMI port on the side rather than the back which I prefer. The power plug is a Razer-specific non-barrel plug. Like all computers, it does run a little hot when it under intense graphical load like intense graphical games. This laptop will get too hot for your lap if you do do intense computations. It has the performance of a high-end desktop system. The speakers are pretty good, but I generally don’t use them much. Speaking of sounds, even when the fans run at full speed, they are not super loud. My husband and I are very happy with this laptop in every aspect. Highly recommend.

After having used this laptop for a while, I can definitely say it performs as advertised. The Intel i7 processor is fast enough to handle pretty much any new heavy game with no problems.

The 1TB SSD makes for really quick loading screens in games and when powering on the laptop, boot up time is insanely fast.

The GeForce RTX 3070 has performed exceptionally well for a laptop GPU. One thing I would keep in mind however is that it doesn't perform as well as a desktop RTX 3070 would under the same circumstances.

While overclocked, I'm able to get over 100fps with max graphics on any newer AAA game. The downside is that the keyboard gets very hot any time I've overclocked the GPU.

While idle, and not overclocked, the bottom of the laptop gets warm but not hot. Under a light load (like watching videos or working in photoshop), I didn't really notice any difference in temperature. Under a heavy load (like gaming), the fans become moderately loud, the keyboard starts to get warm and the bottom of the laptop gets hot.

Overall, the temperature isn't a big deal to me since I keep it on a desk rather than on my lap. If you want to play with max graphics on a newer game, you'll have to do a little bit of overclocking with the GPU and I'd recommend a separate keyboard for that. The laptop's keyboard becomes uncomfortably warm under such a heavy load.

The built-in webcam and the mic are about average quality. I haven't had any issues with the IO ports. They feel sturdy and will likely last. The battery holds a charge enough to keep going all day under a light load. If you're gaming, however, I'd recommend just keeping it plugged in.

Overall, I'm very impressed. As I've said, if you're looking to buy this and expect the 3070 to perform as well as a desktop GPU, you might be disappointed. However, I haven't had any trouble with lag after maxing out graphics in any of the games I've tested. I definitely think you're getting the performance you pay for with this laptop.

So, if you're reading this you've already done your research and know a lot about the performance of this machine. If not, take a moment and go to some of the professional reviewers to learn more about the specs for this machine. I'll be here when you get back.
All done? Now let's talk about what this feels like to get your hands on.
    The Good:
It's thin and light. That makes it easy to use and easy to transport. I never feel like I lugging around a powerful machine, but it really is.
The screen is bright and clear. I played various games and streamed videos from multiple platforms. I had not a single complaint.
THE SPEAKERS! They are on either side of the keyboard and that means you get great sound. That is a huge bonus points in it's favor.
    Bluetooth pairing was seamless.
The keypresses on the keyboard are tactile but not noisy.
The mouse touchpad is super responsive and easy to use.
The power cord is awesome. It can be put in facing you or facing towards the back depending on where the cord is plugged in. It's a really nice braided cord and the power brick isn't oversized.

    The Not So Good:
The layout of the keyboard is terrible. This is a 15 inch computer, and the benefits you have from speaker placement for sound, are a detriment for the keyboard layout. It is super cramped and not great for typing. It worked well for gaming with the keyboard, but after about 30 hrs of typing on it, I'm still finding that I misaligned my home keys and frequently miss-key. Espeically the caps lot key and the spacebar.
Touchpad placement is in the center of the computer, but with the condensed keyboard space it means you really have to keep your wrists up in an ergonomically correct position or your cursor will be moving all over the screen.
It gets hot. It's a gaming computer, so that's expected. I haven't had anything overheat. With the metal case, the whole computer will get hot. Not hot enough to burn you.

The Delighters (not needed, but makes for a nice experience):
The RGB keyboard shifts color as you have the computer on. It's super cute.
The logo on the lid lights up when you turn on the computer.
The function button dims all of the other keys and just highlights the function row.

Overall, I'm happy with this machine. It's not great for writing things, but it does everything else so well that I'm happy to pick up a keyboard and mouse to for typing and mousing.

The Razer Blade 15 Advanced Gaming Laptop is a total power workhorse that is obviously great for gaming, but also perfect for running power and memory-hungry video editing programs for work. Unlike a lot of other users who are looking at this laptop, I am not using it with the purpose of gaming but instead got it with the intention of using it for doing video live streams for work. The Razer is able to handle multiple programs and applications running simultaneously without any lag, and unlike the Alienware (which I also really love), weighs a lot less and is much easier to carry while on the road for work. The laptop runs silently, even when running multiple programs and apps, and doesn't heat up or lag at all, even with everything running at once. I've run a number of programs for our entertainment company along with Zoom, OBS, OSC for OBS, Streamdeck, and so forth, and the laptop is able to handle all of the load without a hitch. The 15.6" display is very bright and processes graphics without any lag - I like how it can be easily seen, even when in direct sunlight, and how smoothly video plays on it. Additionally, the laptop has Razer Central (Razer Synapse) already preinstalled and running so it examines your applications and sets priority so that your most speed-critical applications get first access to your bandwidth. This ensures everything runs rocket fast and can be customized to your needs.

For those who love looks and function, the keyboard will likely fit both casual users' and gamers' needs. It's beautifully lit with customizable lighting functions, pushes down easily but not so much that you'd mistype, and can handle the punishment from aggressive and repetitive button mashing. For those who love the "clicky-clicky" feel of mechanical gaming keyboards, this one probably won't fulfill your tactile needs. The Razer's keyboard is much more similar to traditional keyboards and makes virtually no noise when pushing down with very little travel time. It works well if you need to word process for a long time, but the son noted that while he liked how responsive the keyboard is, he didn't like "the feel" of it as much as the Alienware laptop's keyboard. It's a preference thing, so you may want to test out the keyboard in person to see if it would work for your needs. With that in mind, Bluetooth and wired peripheral connectivity with this laptop are flawless and you can add on your own keyboard/mouse if needed. As for the lighting effects, everything can be controlled via Razer Central. With a few clicks, it's easy to set up brilliant lighting patterns on your keyboard - or turn them off entirely if you are feeling "no fun". As for the trackpad, it works very well and is responsive to both tap and click.

The speakers on the Razer are pretty good for a laptop, although I usually wear headphones when using a portable computer. Headphones connect very well via Bluetooth, and if you want to use wired headphones, there is a standard 1/4" headphone port as well. Speaking of inputs, there are a decent number of inputs to the Blade 15 including three USB ports, a headphone port, two USB-C ports, as well as an HDMI port. For those who plan on using this computer for photo editing purposes, there is a built-in SD Card slot so you don't need to bring an adapter - I didn't think this was entirely necessary, but found I use it a lot more than I anticipated, especially since the husband started using the DSLR more recently.
As for the built-in camera, it's functional, but definitely not as good as the HD cameras we've been using to live stream. It is better than many other laptops I've used but is not as good as the Apple Macbook cameras. I ended up connecting a GoPro to the Razer as a webcam and that worked great. Again, most people who buy gaming laptops likely don't need a super high definition webcam, but this is something to keep in mind if you plan on using the laptop as a work and play laptop as our family does.

The battery life on the Razer is like most gaming laptops - not very good. Battery life really depends on a number of factors including whether or not you keep all the lights on and how hard you are running the laptop, and I've found it was just easier to keep the charging cable nearby. The battery life is not quite as long as the Alienware, but still good enough for my needs. While it's a heavy "brick-style" charger, it's not nearly as large or heavy as other brands, but it is proprietary, so if you lose it, you will need to purchase another Razer-specific charger to have your laptop run at optimal performance. You can charge this laptop using a USB-C cable if in a pinch, although it won't charge as quickly or at all if you don't have one of those heavy-duty USB cables/power adapters. I was able to use the husband's Macbook charger and it worked fine.

Overall, I'm really happy with the build, appearance, and performance of the Razer Blade 15. If I had to choose one PC-based laptop for both work and gaming purposes, this computer would be my choice based on overall performance, specs, and portability. It's an attractive laptop that pairs form with function and is something that's worth considering if you want a powerful laptop to do more than just word processing.

This new Razer Blade 15 Advanced 2021 has everything to be a desktop replacement. There is a RTX 3070 in here along with discrete graphics and a screen refresh rate made for competitive gaming. This laptop is perfect for mobile users that want everything a desktop offers without any sacrifice. Everything on this laptop is top tier, highly spec'd hardware.

    CPU: Intel Core i7-11800H 2.3GHz/ 4.2GHz boost 8 Core/16 Thread Processor
This is the latest high end 11th gen, 10nm chip for gaming portables. You get the increased power savings from shifting to 10nm process node.

    RAM: 16GB DDR4 3200MHz Dual Channel
Plenty of RAM, even for Chrome, I've seen faster clocked RAM but 3200 is plenty sufficient.

    NMVe: NVMe 1TB M.2
PCI-e 4 NVMe! 1TB offers good amount of storage space for apps and games. This drive is replaceable and there is another empty M.2 slot for additional storage capacity.

LCD: 15.6in Sharp LQ156T1JW03 2560x1440 QHD panel, 240Hz refresh rate
The refresh rate on this screen needs to be seen to be appreciated. The mouse movements are so smooth and going back to 60Hz panels is painful. The screen is bright and fast.

VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA RTX 3070 + Intel Xe
Able to play AAA titles at

    WIFI: Intel WIFI 6E
This is uses the Intel AX210, the latest Intel WIFI chipset and offers 6E speeds for those that have the expensive WIFI 6E networks.

    PROS
    - Premium aluminum case and feel
    - Plenty of ports, 2 x USB-C, 3 x USB-A, HDMI, headphone
    - Ultra high refresh 240Hz screen
    - Windows 11 Home instead of Pro

    CONS
    - Runs hot when playing demanding AAA games
    - Ran into a screen glitching initially but a driver update by Intel solved it
    - Not a fan of the glowing green logo, wish it was not lit and more subdued

I recommend manually turning the fan speed up to almost max when you're playing an intense game because the auto fan speed doesn't keep it cool enough.

I’ve had the laptop for about 2 weeks now. It is just wicked fast I upgraded from a 2015 MacBook Pro so imagine the technologies I missed out on.
I haven’t clocked more than 90fps in a game yet not sure if that’s the ceiling I’m still learning about the GPU settings. I also just ordered a G-Sync Compatible ASUS TUF Gaming Monitor so I’m hoping this laptop is able to connect to it without any issues.

Few things I liked so far:

-Overall Speed, the i7 11th Gen 11800H combined with the GeForce RTX 3070 packs a punch
    -RGB keyboard (Customizable)
-Upgradeable Memory & Extra SSD slot
    -Many ports
-Speakers are loud for a laptop

Unpopular opinion: The battery life is decent for a such a powerful gaming laptop you’re going to get 1-2 hours gaming without charge. You might be able to get 3-5 hours just browsing on the internet.

    Cons
-Fingerprints stay on the laptop easily
    -No Display port
-It gets hot so I recommend getting a cooling pad and try not to let the room get hot

The Razer Advanced 15 is hands down the most advanced laptop I've bought so far and it did not disappoint me at all. The Flight Simulator runs smoothly and without problems (its installer offered me the Ultra definition even with the laptop in balanced mode). The 4K OLED monitor is a plus to watch movies optimally (you can opt for a lower definition but more frequency if your goal is only gaming). And yes, at maximum workload it turns very hot, but within the appropriate parameters for this machine.

The full metal body is awesome. Not feeling the big razer logo on the top, if there an option to remove it, would have picked it. Also color option was limited to black, was hoping for silver or white.

The performance is good but due to being a laptop, the wattage and cooling did hinder the performance. I would recommend the GTX3070 over the GTX3080 to save a few bucks as the performance hit wouldn't been too noticeable.

Overall love it but the price is higher then a comparable spec from Asus or other manufacturers. It's mostly the WOW factor when getting razer products.

Overall a premium product. Feels great on the hands. The Oled model with the rtx 3080 plays games beautifully. I never had issues with the laptop overheating. Using the razer synapse I set it to performance mode to max. I never saw the laptop go pass 72c. I use it to watch movies and shows and the images just pop with the OLED. I recommend it if you're looking for on the go premium gaming and best visuals. The OLED tech is night and day with other screens. I have OLED on everything. Tvs and even the Nintendo switch OLED. Trust me the OLED is a game changer.

This machine kinda has it all, looks and aesthetics, power and capability, and portability. Getting a gaming a laptop as opposed to a desktop inherently has a trade off for screen size, but this screen is still great for gaming, the resolution and matte surface make for great looking games and low to no glare even in well lit environments. It's highly portable, I'm student first and gamer second, so having a computer that I can take with me is essential. This thing weighs less than most of books and easily fits in just about any book bag. Games run great, smooth, and sharp, this machine can get work done! The battery life can't quite make it through a whole day for me, but the fact that I can charge off the USB-C really negates that since I don't have to carry it's brick around too. All around super great computer, yeah, I'd recommend, but also I'd say that you gotta know what you're looking for, it's worth the extra penny compared to some comparable gaming laptops.

Friends warned me about Razer products. I have the death adder wireless mouse and I love it. So not a total knock on Razer I do like their products. But I am sorry this computer is junk.
The performance is fine, I ran it to an external monitor and yeah it had good FPS, was pretty quiet, and gamed just fine.
I noticed early on it began freezing, I am an ex-IT Specialist so I figured this may have been due to something being corrupt in windows, so to rule out any software related issues I made the decision to use the media tool and redo windows. To no avail, it still would freeze on random occasions. And I mean FREEZE. No Ctrl+alt+del could fix it or anything.

The second problem I encountered was that I would turn it on and it was often telling me windows recovered from an issue(mind you, I was an IT Specialist I installed windows probably over 100 times…). I was always sure to close all apps down and SHUT DOWN the computer before I would put it in my backpack or anything, and it still seemed to do this every once in a while. A $2500 computer should not do this..

The final straw for me was when I was sitting on the couch and charging it and the screen began to flicker. Similar to one of the other reviews I saw on here, it was TERRIBLE. Clearly a hardware fault at this point I convinced myself to reach out and attempt to return it. Thank you to Amazon for letting me return this product. I went and got a comparable spec HP Omen and I am now much happier as it performs so much better.

The Razer Blade 15 Advanced RTX 3070 is generally a great laptop.

It functions as an exceedingly powerful machine that suits a variety of purposes -- My son has been using it for schoolwork and occasional gaming and so far have not encountered any issues. It lasts around ~5 hours on battery with continuous use and can be extended up to 7 hours through battery management and the adjustment of power mode.

The laptop seldom gets too hot, nor do the fans get too loud, but it is important to note that activities such as gaming or video editing are demanding and will result in a little more fan noise. This is par for the course for any laptop though, and factors such as fan speed can be controlled through the software provided by Razer.

Overall, the laptop provides a very smooth experience -- boot times are fast, the keys are silent, the trackpad feels better than most, and the high refresh rate is an added bonus.

Fabulous 4k oled screen, one of the best on laptops. Keyboard layout with right shift and arrow keys are quite weird. Excellent touchpad, but defective out of the box. Very thin and very light for a i9 3080 gaming laptop. However, battery life is among the shortest with its 80WHr battery. Performance is surprisingly good for its size and weight. Its speakers are one of the worst at this price range. Had to return it because of the defective touchpad.

I previously owned the 2019 Mercury White model and decided to upgrade to the new 8-core 11th gen Intel model. My previous model worked flawlessly and was easily the most solid laptop I had in my life (no BSODs ever, no battery bloat, no coil whine or high pitched fan noise) which is why I decided to stick with Razer.

So far this new 3080 model has not disappointed. It survived a 24 hour stress test on Unigine Heaven using default settings (no crashing out of the program). I have not experienced any screen flickering and there is no coil whine or whistling either. The keyboard is an enormous upgrade from the previous 2019 model. It is a lot more stiff and tactile despite looking exactly the same. That was the biggest gripe I had about my 2019 model. The old keyboard was very mushy and not enjoyable to type on.

From the reviews I've seen on Reddit and Amazon, I am aware that Razer laptops suffer from a common battery bloat problem. However, my experience with this brand has been absolutely perfect so far so if you do hit the jackpot, you will absolutely love this laptop.

Edit: 1 month update. Laptop has been working perfectly. I wrapped the laptop in a skin and included the pictures in this review. I've been getting a comfortable 8 hours of use (studying, youtube, and music) on Optimus + 60Hz. On battery, the fans do not turn on if you are doing light tasks while on Optimus, but the fans DO turn on if you are using the dedicated GPU regardless of the task.

    Impressed.

Build quality is outstanding. Screen hinges, keyboard, trackpad, overall frame is very premium and seems that it will age very well.

Obviously the hardware speaks for itself. The thing is a total beast
Haven’t come across anything that slows it down. Even with 4K and maxed out graphics settings.

In comparison to my Alienware it actually runs cooler and has yet to thermal throttle. Do note - I did purchase small steel “feet” that I stuck onto either side of the bottom fans. This allows the laptop to be lifted about 3/4 of an inch from the surface of my laptop pad or desk.

What I use this machine for:
    CADD & Gaming.

    Pros:
This machine has a stunning display (4K 60HZ Model)
It can handle anything you throw at it with ease (11th gen I9 / 3080).
The Razer Synapse interface is user friendly.
Extremely thin for the power it brings.
Room to upgrade the SSD & RAM.

    Cons:
Battery life is bad (45 min - 2 hours depending on what you're doing). But this is expected with the size and power this machine has.
Fans can get a little loud, but nothing serious.
It gets hot, but not to the point where you can't touch it like some people like to exaggerate. (I ran multiple games for 6+ hours straight on full/ultra settings for my heat test).

    Conclusion:
This thing is expensive, but in my opinion it brings a lot to the table and is worth the money. I'd give it a 4.5 out of 5, but that is not an option so I decided to round it up.

Great laptop. Even tho its a 3070 you still gotta mess w nvidias 3D settings and with the games internal vsync settings to really optimize each game. 360 hz is awsome but don't play demanding games at high settings with 360 hz cause the screen completely glitches out. Took me a week of internal pain to figure that out. They run smooth at 60hz w vsync (depending on game) though. For games that don't have a refresh rate option in their settings (weird but games such as Sniper Elite 4 don't have it) go to the razer synapses and change it in the performance tab to 60. Then when ur done playing go back and change it to 360 if you want. Kinda a hassle but that's what you get with a machine like this. You just can't win lol. Overall awsome powerhouse that's so slim and fits right in your backpack without taking much space. But omg the power supply is so thiccc. Battery life is awsome, given that it's an insanely powerful gaming laptop. Lasts almost 3 hours when using google nonstop. Look if you want battery life get a Mac. But for gaming this thing rocks. Just have some patience and once you set up everything you'll begin planning your wedding to this thing. Peace.
