This was the second LG OLED TV I have purchased. The first was bought in 2018 and is still in use with no issues. The only differences between this one and the 2018 model that I've noticed are improved sound quality, updated remote control, and updated user interface. All changes represent improvements over the earlier model. This is a stunningly beautiful display. You won't regret buying it.

I do not baby my TV and still haven't had any issues, tho it might be too early to tell but as of right now it's amazing. I would highly recommend this TV for any gaming fanatic. It's great for streaming vids as well you just gott calibrate it to your desire and given which streaming platform you're watching (Netflix, Hulu, HBO...etc)

This is a frankly astonishing TV. Many times it looks as clear as through a clear window. The NFL is a stunning experience and sound, without any enhancements, is terrific. Thunder is really thunder! A stadium is in the living room! Colors and definition are popping, and very bright. Coming from a 1080P experience I can't say enough about how I love the clear image 4k material provides. I highly reccomend this over the 65. Its like having a home theater in your house. The speakers aren't bad in this at all either. You shouldn't expect hearing things in 3d but you won't have a problem with clarity tone or volume.

Previous TV was a 46” Samsung from 13 years ago, touch of red. Thought I could go budget with a 65” Hisense U6G and surely it would be an upgrade over my 13 year old TV. Picture quality, especially sharpness and color tone, was immediately noticeably worse. Not by much, but this TV was not going to cut it. After trying to go budget, just decided to get a TV I knew was going to be good now and for the next 10-15 years, LG C1. Good decision, color tone is great, sharpness, blacks… Money wasn’t really an issue for us, just try to be prudent with our spending. Got 65” around holidays for $1700 + tax, wouldn’t really consider spending more so didn’t consider high end sony models, think the A8 is rated higher. Would reco rtings.com for reviews.

Had this for little over 2 months and its been great. Color is great but you have to fine tune it to your liking. I originally tuned the color based off of reviewers but at the end of the day just tune it to your liking. Brightness is exceptionally well even in a sun lit living room. The 4 hdmi ports all feature 4k@120 so it makes it future proof if you wanna have a ps5, xbox and a PC. Only thing i disliked was the "mouse remote" i give them credit for trying but i wish i could disable it. Another option id like to see would be better screensavers its kinda bland but it does save the oled burn in. Other then that its a great tv, please consider it.

The best tv ever, this tv has G sync which is good for gaming on PC enabling 120 frames. The picture is great for a variety of viewing options such as gaming and changing the picture preset for movies and the TV does what it's supposed to, it plugs in and works.

Make sure when you open it be careful with the bottom because it's supposed to come off to make the tv easier to take out, the screws won't seem to fit in tightly on the metal platform the tv comes with .

Okay, so I have purchased an LG OLED before, a LG B8 65" and it has some "flaws." There is a small portion of the screen, that in a small portion of viewing content when the screen has a lot of grey colors, that you can see a blemish in the picture due to, what I believe is, the manufacturing process. I was prepared for the same with the C1, but I wanted it anyway, OLEDs are still just superior in picture quality, and I wanted the 48" for a pc monitor. To my suprise, there are zero dead pixels, zero aberrations, this screen is "perfect" as far as I can tell. Paired with an Nvidia 3080 ti this screen is perfect! The G-Sync works seamlessly, and I couldn't be happier. The LG C1 48" has been perfect for me so far, buy with confidence.

Our 70” Vizio M-Series LED TV died suddenly after less than 7 years of daily use. I expected more life out of it, but I’d been eyeing an LG OLED for several years and wasn’t going to be able to justify the purchase until the Vizio kicked the dust. So long Vizio, Hello LG 77” OLED C1!

Right away the picture is a vast improvement over any TV we’ve ever owned, however, I quickly learned that I needed to upgrade my HDMI cables before I could access the full power of the TV’s picture quality. The HDMI cable we’ve been using doesn’t support 4K, so that is enroute. It means I get to mount this thing into my wall - again - after I get the new cable and snake it through my wall behind my TV.

Mounting this to my wall was my biggest concern due to the fragility of the screen. I’ve destroyed far less expensive TV’s trying to mount them before, and so was concerned about this one. That concern, however, just helped me to stay super careful through the process, and the TV is far less heavy than our old 70” LED, so mounting it proves to be quite simple.

77” is huge. Exactly what I’d hoped for. It fills up our space above the mantle very well. I could probably have made the 83” fit, but the 77” is perfect for our space.

It’s still to be seen our long term satisfaction, but out of the box, this TV is by far the best TV we’ve ever owned.

Edit: new HDMI cable arrived, and a quick wall dismount, cable snake through my wall to our Apple TV, and back up with the TV, and we are experiencing Dolby Vision in all its wonder. Watched Marvel’s End Game to check out the picture and it was unbelievable. The best picture currently possible! Disney’s Encanto was also completely stunning. Until 8k content is a thing, this TV offers the best viewing experience you can get.

Zero lag when gaming in Dolby Vision & HDR with 120hz motion native on Xbox Series X and zero pixilation on games, movies or TV programs from cable box in comparison to my other 4K Quantum TV and other TV’s of it’s kind. Best purchase after much research and watching pro reviews of this TV in comparison to others. The C1 is hands down the best 4K OLED TV of 2021, especially for price in comparison to the G1 and Sony. The clarity is ridiculous clear at any angle, especially when you set it up properly for gaming, TV and Cinema. All settings are different. The sound is awesome with strong bass, you don’t need a sound bar, where on other TV’s you absolutely do. I contemplated for a month and finally bought it and I can honestly say that I’m completely satisfied.

I bought a QLED80 a few years ago and told myself I would only buy Samsung Tv's from now on until this Beast of a TV went on sale and I decided to pull the trigger. Glad I did. First the few cons. I do wish it would sit higher on it's stand so I could use my sound bar (although I am pleasantly surprised at the quality of sound from such a thin tv) Also the remote is a bit clanky but very manageable........Now for the pro, picture quality is stunning. Each color pops and my eyes cant quite drink them enough. This is an amazing tv and I am really happy with this purchase.

This tv offers the highest quality viewing experience I have ever seen on a tv. It’s absolutely incredible!

The web OS is also very user-friendly, intuitive, and smooth. I love how customizable the layout and selection of all the apps are. The TV’s massive size (I purchased the 83 inch) makes every tv show and movie feel immersive like you are on set. I love the screen mirroring feature for my phone via Bluetooth, and the easy voice command microphone feature built into the remote for browsing google, YouTube, and other sites via web OS. The gallery mode is very fun as it shows off just how crisp, clear, and deep the colors are—it is truly OLED at its finest, and is great for impressing guests or playing in the background while working.

I love this tv, and would buy it all over again if I could!

Absolutley love this TV. However, there is 1 very annoying issue. I have my on a tv stand with a center channel in front...it blocks the IR receiver. And for some reason, the power button is the only IR line of sight button on the remote. So I can't turn it off/on without getting up and pointing around the speaker.

Work around has been using Alexa to turn it on and off, the voice control on the remote to power off, or the firetv remote home button to turn it off. Would rather not have to use my voice to give instructions to turn off the tv. Seems like an over site. Hopefully this is a way to make the power work without line of sight.

A phenomenal television. Use it for my XSX and PS5 and both look incredible on it. My unit only needed minor calibration, but honestly even out of the box it looks great.

The ONE downfall of this TV is the slow UI. It’s bogged down by ads which greatly reduces the speed. If LG gave us an option to remove the ads I have no doubt it would be almost as speedy as my Apple TV 4K

A modern looking display with modern features, and performance. This display is made for content consumption, and gaming due to features like hdmi 2.1 on all four ports so you can connect high refresh devices, such as current gen consoles and high-end gpus. With dolby vision/hdr10 gaming support as well as 120hz with vrr there's little that this television can't handle effectively. Lastly with arc/e-arc support you can connect
your devices directly to the display and push dolby atmos back to your audio reciever, so you don't have to choose between high refresh rates, and/or top quality audio formats.

I replaced our 9-year-old LG 55" LCD TV that we used in our master bedroom after it finally quit working with this OLED model. (We have a 65" LG OLED TV in our family room that we bought two years ago, so I knew this one would have at least the same excellent picture quality as that one.) I was amazed at the picture quality and accurate colors right out of the box. I didn't have to do too much tweaking to get the advanced settings exactly the way I wanted them. The TV has all sorts of "smart" features built right in, too. The ARC feature also works well with our Sony sound bar system. The TV arrived in perfect condition.

Amazing picture. just awesome. TV came fast as most things from Amazon. Two guys brought it into the house. My wife and I installed it onto the wall.

My only gripe about the TV is that it's hard to hang because there aren't many places to hold the TV. I ended up breaking apart the foam to mount the wall mount bracket onto the TV and then we hung it. This worked well. It was just tough trying not to touch the face of the TV or breaking the back.

This TV is sooooo thin. It's just awesome.

Basically, to me. This is the Mandalorian TV. The first show we watched Mandalorian.

    Worth the cost of admission.

I also bought a Xbox series X and upgraded my 10 yr old receiver so by the weekend, I'm REALLY looking forward to putting it to the test!

Absolutely a great tv. For 3 hours of watching it, playing Halo Infinite, I'm a very happy guy!

Incredible. Once you get this TV you will be spoiled. The contrast / color are just incredible. True blacks! This is one of the best TV images you can buy right now without spending >2k. Gaming looks even better than movies, due to HDR content.

    Pros:
    - incredible contrast and color
    - brightness is very good. Im able to see the screen no problems even in broad daylight.

    Cons
    - the setup process was painful. My wife and I were barely able to get this thing out of the box and upright. You really need three adults to set up the 65 inch version (cant say about 55 or smaller).
    - interface bloatware and adware. every time u turn on the tv, 75% of the screen is bloatware / ads. You need to scroll a bit to get to your icons like netflix, youtube, ec. Not a huge deal but just annoying.

Only had this TV for a few months, so no issues with burn-in yet.

Love the picture from this TV - especially the deep, dark blacks and vibrant, bright colors. First unit delivered developed power-on issues within the first week (bad board, imo), but was able to get unit fully replaced by Amazon within two weeks with the delivery service. Now really enjoying watching content. Don't care too much about the WebOS smart features as I connect my own streaming device. Besides, too many agreements/terms of service to agree to. The LG Art Gallery Mode does present art beautifully as a screen saver. Wall mounting the TV is the best option imo, especially with the really minimal depth. I installed colored led backlight straps to enhance the effect when watching. Haven't taken any extended warranty - believe most issues will surface in 1st year while under warranty - a risk I have taken on with all my electronics and never had an issue with so far. Sound is good from the TV, but prefer hooking it up to my sound bar and sub woofer. Very happy with my purchase after the initial hiccup.

I have seen so many gimmicks and strange nomenclatures for Televisions over the years that I really had given up on ever upgrading. There was all the 4k Super HD, qled, quantum dot, and so much more. But OLED isn’t a gimmick it’s the real deal. This is the first time I’ve been blown away by a TV since 1080p was first made. Made me feel like a kid in a theatre again. Picture is amazing blacks are true, and colors are vibrant. Play it with a PS5 and you will never want to go back. 120 fps game mode is insane. Plus 4 hdmi ports that support the full capabilities. Would highly reccomend to someone that wants something new and wants to be amazed.

I had been holding off on upgrading to 4K for the past couple of years as I was perfectly satisfied with my old LG 55" LED TV. It didn't have all the new bells and whistles, but it was a great TV. I recently had a little financial windfall, however and with that, the cost of this set became something I was willing to spend. I have to say I am completely bowled over! The switch to 4K (even when it's just upscaling normal content) is incredible! Using the ARC feature lets the TV control my Onkyo surround setup and LG BluRay player as well. The images are so crisp, and the blacks are pure black. I actually thought the tv had turned off once during a silent dark scene! I'm hoping it holds up well over time. My old 55" LG is nearly 10 years old and still going strong. Hoping the new one performs as well. Reading all the info online about potential OLED screen burn-in has me a little worried, but time will tell. I don't watch anything with a static image on it - so fingers crossed that isn't an issue.

GREAT for gaming at 120 hz. Only "cons" would be the "not for sunny rooms" and the screen burn in chance. The only thing i saw for burn in was for when it was used as a computer monitor. If you use as a tv for shows and gaming you will be fine. Get the bigest screen you can afford. I did 65 but should havge done 77 and said (blank) it. LOVE THIS TV!!!!!

OLED has the best picture quality. For me, the best thing that happened to Video repro so far. Didnt go with QLED bc of the poor picture quality vs OLED. Black is truly black.

That being said, how to get the most out of OLED as a PC monitor?

    Download the following apps:
    1. Autohidedesktop icons (self explanatory)
    2. Powertoys (allows you to take advantage of the massive screen by splitting up your windows into whatever sections you want. Then you can simply drag and snap each into place.
    3. Autohidemousecursor (self explanatory)

In addition. Have a black background so when your mouse and icons disappear, your monitor essentially "turns off. " Also a minimal screen saver in case your on a program and it stays idle.

There are some additional options on the LG TV options such as screen shift. As a safety precaution run pixel cleaner once a week.

All these precautions should prevent any burn-in. 4 Months so far and no issues at all. These "hassles" are worth it. Your video and gaming experience will be markedly improved.

I’m not particularly tech savvy and bought this after doing some internet sleuthing and picking the brains of my more tech savvy friends. My initial impressions are that it’s a very well made tv, plenty of useful options, nice presets for the lazy, tons of adjustability for the folks who are super specific. Unboxing took two people but that’s to be expected. Amazon delivery, five stars btw. Assembling the base was annoying because the screws are painted making the threads really tight. I was certain I was cross threading on the first three that hold a bracket to the larger base, but the others were perfect when attaching the tv to the base.

I’ve watched a few things on Prime that were UHD and I deafened my wife screaming “holy ****” because the clarity and definition are outstanding. I also played Skyrim on PS4 and the details were excellent. I’ll come back and update if the tv gives me any drama, but after adjusting some settings, updating the OS and apps, enjoying Alabama crushing Cincinnati, and watching Georgia flog Michigan, I think me and our C1 are going to get along rather well! Happy new year to us, and Roll Tide!

This TV is amazing! You have to play a little with the settings if you want to get the full experience but even out of the box its a noticible difference. I use it mainly for gaming and paired with a PS5 its incredible. Nothing short of an OLED monitor can beat it. Response times are perfect although it won't help you win any FPS games. You still need to actually be good for that. For movies its spectacular and almost a whole new experience rewatching any of them.

I will say though that I have this set up in a very dark room. Black out curtains and no lights on. Brightness on OLEDS is something they are still working on. (Watch CES updated QD-OLEDS for 2022 if you're looking for something brighter this year) Tried it with the shades upon just to see how it would look and it's definitely not good at all. Lights are ok as long as it's not shining directly on it.

Overall this TV is the best bang for your buck as a gaming set up if it's withing your budget. You can still get a pretty decent TV with good response times and frames for a couple hundred less. But as far as picture clarity and contrast the C1 can't be beat.

The built in smart software is actually pretty nice, but I went ahead and connected it to a 4K Apple TV.
If you’re on the fence, just get it and get it over with.

The TV is loaded with inputs (latest technology), a great Smart TV interface, excellent center base stand (I HATE TV's with the feet mounted on the corners-a HUGE hassle with stands). But most of all, the one thing you can't fix after you buy a TV, is the picture quality. Simply amazing. Stunning at every angle. It's a masterpiece on the eyes! Very minor adjustments out of the box. The only minor complaint I have is the majority of the HDMI inputs are on the side of the panel--would have been better fitted on the back for easier cable management (but again, that's minor after seeing this glorious picture--almost makes you wonder how they could ever improve it!). I'm very picky about my electronics, and this one is a no brainer! Prices have dropped, which makes it even more compelling--there's really not anything to compare it to (and that's from a Sony/Samsung guy of 30+ years).

Overall a great buy. No regrets, picture quality is great, software is good for the most part, and of course it's OLED goodness and awesome color rendition. It also should be highlighted how incredibly thin the screen is for the top half, yet it feels sturdy and not like it's just going to bend. Truly just disappears from edge on.

Software usability is good overall, for sure. Super intuitive and the magic mouse navigation works well, but even using the D-pad on the remote is very intuitive and fast. But for a brand new TV in 2021 when I bought it, there are times when the software lags a bit, especially every single time you return back to the main menu, the UI visibly lags from loading in all app content previews. It amounts to a mismatch between how ambitious the software is, and the effect it has on making the processor not feel quite adequate and like a mis-spec. Either soften the software load to better suit the processor that is in the TV, or ship a faster processor to meet the demands of the user interface. The latter can be done retroactively, so a software update could improve this experience.

This might not just be software either, since the ethernet connection is only a 100 Mbit network interface, and my network switch logs transmit pause errors on my internet router's port, which means the 100 Mbit ethernet interface on the TV is bottlenecking my fiber internet from delivering content as fast as it coulld to the TV. However, when watching content, there is absolutely no buffering issues and content loads very quickly.

But like I said above, I am very satisfied with my purchase and I'm impressed by the TV and how good it looks constantly. The overall experience with the software is positive and the hiccups are outweighed by the great user interface design. LG continues to deliver.

My first C1 had a dirty screen. A black spot on the left side of the panel. I gave it a few hrs of operation to see if it would clear up. Still wouldn’t clear up. So I called Amazon for a replacement. The order went with out a hitch. Received my replacement a few days later. Got it all set up and noticed a few vertical lines in the screen. I’m thinking not again. So I went on mine and started reading up on the problem. Some said to give it a few hrs of operation to break in. Over the next few day’s I noticed the screen getting better and better. As of now there are no lines or any other artifact’s on the screen. I did run a few screen test off of YouTube to perform the test with. It shows a beautiful picture almost like looking out a window life like. The picture is not to dark even in a well lit room. I did have to tweak the picture settings some to my liking. Games on my ps5 and Ps4 look amazing. Old games are new again and zero lag. Set up is pretty easy. I had it up and running in about 15 mins give or take. I do like the Amazon return policies. I’ve always been a Sony fan. But I decided to give LG a chance. LG offers more for the money than most other brands. If I can get 10 or so years out of this tv I’ll be happy. TVs in our household turns on at 4 am until 9 pm 6 days a wk. If you don’t like it return it for a refund or something else to your liking. Once you receive a good one you want be sending it back. Good luck.

First off, I don't have to go on and on about how good this TV/monitor looks. Plenty of reviews have already done so. Until we see the QD/Mini/Nano OLED, this is the best picture you can get these days. The refresh rate is great at 120hz, because unless you are playing Rocket League/CSS/Fortnite, you aren't going to be pushing many games higher for FPS. The TV itself is heavy. Not "heavy" as in hard to move around, but you get a feeling of quality of construction. The menus could use a little work, as some of the setup, for a PC monitor, is a bit counterintuitive. (Hiding PC mode in the weird dashboard? Having to click on the HDMI symbol to change it?). Also, I have no idea why people seemed to have problems, or take "hours" to mount the TV to the included stand. It was very slightly more complicated than screwing a couple feet to the bottom, but it seriously took me about 10 minutes.
Mostly, I wanted to write this review because I bought this unit as "Used-Very Good" from E ZEE Electronics. They must have a very different idea of "used" as my TV still had the protective film over the screen, and the stand mount screws were still in the original sealed bag, along with things like the remote! I don't even know if the box was ever opened, so I have no idea how it's considered "used". Shipping was fast as well. And this was for $200 off the "new" price!
Now my only problem is convincing my wife we need to replace the 65" LCD TV in living room with another LG OLED. Coming from watching content on my computer, with this screen, to watching stuff in the living room, on an LCD, just seems so washed out and bland. Especially with HDR content. Great buy. Great experience. Awesome screen.

This replaced a Samsung 60" from 2017. That was an early model 4K and towards the lower end of the various Samsung lines. The picture from this compared to that is stunning - the blacks are the thing that really jump out. On a 4K Dolby Vision source it is revelatory.

What I can't comment on because we don't use:
    - SmartTV features. We didn't use them with Samsung either - we use Google TV with Chromecast so that the UI is the same across TV brands and we aren't captive to a particular TV's UI. I also have low trust in the TV manufacturers to keep their Smart features updated. It is a lot cheaper to just replace the $50 Google device every couple years.
    - HDMI/ARC. Sadly, our Denon AVR is too old for that.
    - Internal speakers - never turned them on.
    - Dolby beyond DD 5.1, i.e. Atmos, etc.

I do think that the documentation is mediocre and skinny at best - very basic stuff that you almost really don't need to know. Here are a few things it doesn't discuss:

    - Surround sound from the optical/TOSLINK digital output: you can get DD 5.1 from this only if set to "passthrough/bitstream" Just about every other setting will result in PCM/2 channel because their thinking is that this is for a sound bar rather than an AVR, where you are more likely to use HDMI/ARC. We use the optical out because our AVR is too old to support ARC and doesn't support 4K either. So I struggled to get DD from the optical at first. I also had to set Google TV to "auto" rather than explicitly setting it to DD or DTS. I called up LG on this issue and they told me that only PCM was available on optical. That is not true. By contrast, the Samsung put everything to the AVR as DD 5.1, regardless of whether the upstream signal was that at all.

    - The USB ports are switched, but with an off-delay. So if you want to power a gadget or LEDs know that the power will eventually shut off, just not when the TV is turned off.

    - Relative to our Samsung, the screen is fairly reflective - this TV is not great near windows during the day. It is not as bright as our 5 year old Samsung either. But at night, ooo laa laa.

    - This is an HDMI only TV - 1 rear-facing (HDMI 4) and 3 left facing - HDMI 1/2/3. No component or old RCA SD or S-Video. To set up our aging Denon you need RCA SD for the OSD when you aren't using HDMI. I bought a gadget here on Amazon to translate RCA video to HDMI for the rare times I need to get to the Denon's on screen menus. I do get griped by this - deciding to remove capabilities so that you need to upgrade and replace other components of your system that otherwise work fine.

    - The OLED features aren't explained well. Like "Comfort Mode" for example. Does that help with OLED burn-in? Not sure. Some other OLED features are better described but I can't give a high score to the UI layout - too many options greyed out based on a setting elsewhere. I think the UI designers were challenged about balancing a feature's closeness to the top level menu versus closeness to more advanced settings.

    - Calibration of any kind. Nada. Haven't touched that yet.

    - The VESA mounting holes are very low on this TV. Not a big deal but be prepared to redo your wall mount if your prior TV was centered on the mounting holes.

That's all for now - just had it a week. This may sound nitpicky, but at the end of the day we are very happy with this TV.

As the title says, it’s the best TV I’ve ever owned. Picture quality is top notch, especially at the price point. Like maybe you could do slightly better by spending another $1k for a similar size TV, but no way you’ll find better for under $1500 like this one. Sound quality is really good too. I ended up adding a sound bar but that wasn’t because this one sounds bad. The streaming OS is fine. It’s nothing to write home about, but it’s better than the generic ones on other TVs. Best bet is to get a Roku/Apple TV/Fire TV or whatever your preference is. Overall TV gets 5 stars from me. Great all around.

This is a top of the line TV with good quality images. It does black color amazingly but if you have a bright area it does make it hard to see. The colors, fast moving pictures and gaming are excellent. It give you many option to modify your viewing experience. It does have options to change the brightness and configuration. The sounds is great for a medium to large room.
The remote is well made and it allows you to control the cable box too. The only negative I have is that it allows you to enter and display settings from you cable box on but it won't allow you to exit most of the settings. The only way to exit is to use your cable remote or turn-off the TV. It does time out after about 5 mins
I also wish the gave you the option of preventing the apps from poping up everything you start your tv.
Installation of the base is a two person job but it is pretty straightforward.

This television is just stunning. Not only its picture, but its form. At roughly 3/16" thick this television is extremely graceful looking, whether on a wall or on its stand. I wall mounted it (You'll need TWO people to handle this beast!) While it is thin, it is a large and heavy (over 70lbs!) TV and that said is extremely awkward and precarious to try and handle alone, both while unpacking, hanging or preparing it base to be mounted. TWO PEOPLE REQUIRED unless you enjoy living dangerously.

Lots of features; holy crap lots of features! I've never seen so many great features built into any TV anywhere. There are tweaks for everyone. In fact there are more tweaks available for this set than I'll ever use... or even care what they are. The standard picture options and audio options are more than adequate.

The base 4k picture is fabulous. However, taking full advantage of everything this thing has to offer picture wise means using the hardware that supports it. Not all devices listed as 4K compatible will give you the best picture, and many streaming devices from the past few years are NOT going to give you 4K Dolby Vision, or 60FPS rates. I got the latest ROKU unit that supports 4K HDR and Dolby Vision! All I can say is WOW!

The Web OS streaming software is good, but the streaming from Apple TV and ROKU devices is a much better experience not just because the software that you control the stream with is more powerful and gives you many more options as a user, but the Web OS software doesn't seem to take advantage of 4K Dolby Vision, or anything above base 4K viewing. The difference the ROKU and Apple TV make are nothing short of stunning. It is literally night and day.

A couple of things to keep in mind is making certain that the firmware is updated to the most recent. You'll need to go into the user menu and find the software update screen. Once completed, be certain to do a "Hard Reboot" which doesn't mean turning it off and back on, but it means unplugging the set, leave it unplugged for 15-20 mins and plug it back in. The reboot is successful if when you turn the tv back on, that the "Web OS" image pops up first when it comes on. A hard reboot can also be achieved via the user menu in settings by changing one of the TOS agreement settings and clicking apply. Just remember to go back and switch it back later. Also sometimes the firmware may update in stages and not in one update session. So make note of the version and compare it online at LG.

If the firmware is not updated it is possible that you'll get error messages with Auto screen detection stating that the HDMI cables or the set doesn't support the highest resolution settings your outboard device is capable of. HDMI cables must be no less than HDMI 2.1 HDCP 2.2 Once you've the proper cables and updated firmware, plug in those new streamers, players and stand back, your idea of what a television should look like will be changed forever.

    KILLER TV!!!!

I have a Samsung QN82Q6FNA from a few years ago. It was the centerpiece of the house...heck...of the street. Well I bought this LG C1 77" for my mother, and O MY GAWD! I'm embarrassed by my QLED now. It's not just that the C1 OLED blacks are true black. Every color on the screen is more vibrant, richer.

The smart hub on the C1 line (2021) is a significant upgrade over the smart menu on the CX and earlier models (2020). That said, these smart hubs are infuriating in that they always require you to click down past an ad block before you get to your own apps. Also, setting up your apps in the smart hub isn't quite as intuitive or easy as other hubs (granted, nothing is more simple than Roku).

The magic wand remote is either a love it or hate it thing. I hate it. The default setting when you bring up the TV's options menu is to use the remote as a gyro mouse. All it takes is one press of the directional button to put the remote back into button mode, but A) the jump into gyro mode is disorienting, and B) try explaining to your 70-year-old parent how to deal with this innovation, and then get back to me. Seriously, the gyro mouse serves zero function. It moves you away from the menu because it kicks-in and starts moving right away. If you don't click at exactly the right spot, the menu goes away. The only thing I'd ever voluntarily use it for is punching-in pass codes during the one-time initialization setup of apps.

I use the ARC (Audio Return Channel) feature a lot. This TV tries to outsmart itself by immediately going into TV audio if I manually turn off the receiver or swap inputs on the receiver. This is annoying, especially when the TV gets stuck on TV audio out even when the receiver is returned to the correct input.

These manufacturers really need to stop trying to out-think their consumers. I'm good with innovation, but CEC, for example, just isn't intuitive enough to be so draconian. Here's an example, I want to use the ARC function, but the only way to use ARC on most devices is to enable CEC. Well guess what? There are more subtle manipulations of a home theater, and more devices from more disparate manufacturers, than most TVs or AV receivers are capable of manipulating. But if all I want is ARC, then I have to live with the TV turning on my AV receiver but not knowing which input/output to set the receiver to, and it doesn't do anything to turn on my wireless speakers, etc.

The 5 stars is for the best picture quality you can get without going into the ridiculously high end home theater market (think Best Buy's Magnolia showroom where a single remote runs about $1,000, and only a professional has the security key to set it up).

Picture is perfect and easy to use. All HDMI ports can do 4k/120hz. VRR (G-sync) works fantastic. The TV is very proactive in reducing any possibility of burn in so I wouldn't worry about that. Also is capable of playing 4k content off the USB port, if that interests you. I don't connect any of my smart TVs to the internet, so I don't know how good or poor that functionality is.

    Overall a 10/10 TV

You don't need to have 5 remotes, it's remote does it all. The sound quality is crisp and the 4k, Dolby picture quality is really out of this world. It's a must buy for me.

I had a Samsung curved for a while and I was hesitating about trying another brand. after reading the reviews here on Amazon and a little research around, I found this was a great choice. As of now it's a "yes" to recommend this product.
my only dislike about this new tv is the pop up messages at the bottom of the screen everytime I turn it on. More than that, is a 5 star purchase.

I got this around black Friday and love it. The pictures do it no justice. It is liturally crystal clear. The color is so intense and absolutly no lag or latency. The AI systems are pretty cool and takes care of most the pain of messing with picture settings. I have it in a small room so i dont even need a speaker with how loud it gets. But the pictures quality i just cant get over it almost looks 3D like a hologram especially with the lights off. And also the smart remote is so cool !

Bought my 65” LG OLED C1 tv over a month now and it’s the best $1,796 (+tax) tv investment I’ve ever made. Hands down! The 4K UHD video resolution settings is stunningly remarkable as long as your streaming and ISP services provide 4K UHD content then you wouldn’t want to watch your shows/movies in any other tv in the house! If the show you’re watching wasn’t made using UHD let alone HD, it’s built in a9 Gen4 AI will give you equally stunning picture quality without loosing any of the filmmaker’s authenticity. I also play my PS5 games here and the GAME OPTIMIZER playing 4K UHD with true 120fps is truly amazing with no input lag at all (of course using a compatible certified 8K UHD Zeskit HDMI cable connected to its eARC HDMI port), even when using my 3rd party wireless headphones connected to its optical audio output port, no audio lag at all.. It’s built-in WebOS UI, streaming apps, Alexa and remote with mic is remarkably easy to use and loads faster than my old LG tv I got in 2016. The digital tv channels were a plus (hooked up to a coax digital antenna), I was not expecting that at all. The tv screen itself is super thin with a very heavy 85lbs base to support it. The built in speakers are decent but you’ll genuinely appreciate them if your watching a show capable of Dolby Vision Dolby Atmos audio... From time to time when working at home I use this tv as an extended screen casting my work stuff wirelessly using my Mac, pc laptop, iPad even my iPhone surprisingly easy than other casting tvs I’ve used before…Now trying to save up for a LG SP9YA sound bar and LG SPK8-S wireless rear speakers to complete my setup. Just buy the OLED C1 tv! You won’t regret it!!

I always do extensive research before each serious purchase I make. All available evidence led me to the C1. It's the top TV to buy on any credible electronics review website. I won't be spending money on an LCD TV any time in the near future. I haven't seen anything that looks better than this TV. It's worth the investment. This is a must have for anyone interested in a spectacular gaming tv or a replacement for a monitor. LG is one of the only manufactures that has 4 HDMI 2.1 ports. Future proof yourself and spend the money. You'll be glad you did.

The image on this TV is incredible. In a dark room, it’ll absolutely blow you away. The remote and interface are generally solid. I highly recommend finding the C1 settings guides on HDTVTest on YouTube. It takes it to the next level.

My only major complaint is it’s a bear to run through every input in HDR and SDR to tweak the picture settings. Even setting it to carry settings across all inputs, I’ve found I needed to tweak picture settings in every application running on the TV, every input, and again for every format.

I purchased this TV after alot of research. I am happy with this purchase the picture quality is amazing after you check out some youtube videos from people about how to get the best image. I also like the PS5 gaming experience on it just got a hold of a new PS5 console and need a TV that would allow it to perform to it max and let me tell you I feel like this TV has done that. It has the 2.1 hmdi ports allowing for your 4k at 60 hertz or 1080 at 120hz. It also look get it low light rooms it is really where it shines make it look like just a picture is on the wall with a blacked out room. I love that feel of no TV and just image. All in all I recommend this TV. Also if at first your PS5 doesnt work out of the box it is because it needs a firmware update. Mine didnt work out the box you would hear audio but black video. Once it got the update it worked like a champ apperently there was an issue with the HDR coming out of the PS5.

I upgraded to this tv from my 2016 Samsung UN65KS8000 65-Inch 4K. The picture quality is night and day better. Finally, TRUE blacks. I was warned OLED is not as bright as LED, but I have no problem watching TV in my bright living room. I also see almost no reflections on this screen.

One thing I loved is the out of the box settings were basically perfect. I felt like I didn't have to change anything. Gaming, regular TV, all perfect.

The TV is very skinny except at the base, and is also surprisingly heavy. Only has 4 HDMI ports, but I already had a HDMI expander thingy so I just use that for my extra devices.

TV works amazing with my PS5, games look unbelievably good.

Unfortunately, the first TV I ordered had a big scratch on the screen upon delivery. So I had to go through Amazon customer service to get it returned properly, but I didn't have to pay for return postage. I just sent them photos of big scratch on the TV. The replacement TV was perfect.

For those having trouble getting their soundbar to work using the ARC HDMI input:

If you go into Sound > Advanced Settings, try turning on "eARC Support". That didn't work for me, but, it did allow me to change the selection of "Digital Sound Output" from Auto to Pass Through and that got it working again for some people. For me, setting the tv sound share mode to ON got my BOSE soundbar working with this TV. Play with these settings if you are having trouble getting your soundbar to work using ARC. I didn't want to use bluetooth as my connection method because then surround sound wouldn't be as good.

My mouth drops when I watch this TV. The crisp picture quality is one that you'd never go back to an LED or LCD tv again.

    Pros:
    1. Amazing picture quality for gaming, videos, movies, etc...
    2. Great audio quality. For a slim tv this really does a great job putting out some great audio
    3. Turns on when you turn on gaming system or just by tapping the streaming service on remote

    Cons:
    1. The smart software could be better, but overall not awful

I purchased this TV for my living room. I was concerned about the volume of light entering the room and was worried that it would take away from the picture. The contrast was sufficient to avoid this problem except in something LG calls its "filmmaker" mode which tends to dull the screen a bit. Standard, and Sports are fine. The set up was a breeze and I am not one to enjoy set ups but this was pretty straight forward. My only small complaint is that I am not very good a aiming the remote at the screen which acts like a mouse. It seems that aiming and pushing the correct button at the same time are a bit of an issue for me. My first view was to stream "Encounter" from Amazon Prime and the first two minutes of the flick would be enough to sell even the most critical viewer. Very happy with this purchase.

So I've only had this for a couple of days. Shipping was excellent, got a text on my phone that it was arriving early. Came right on time, 2 men and a truck showed up and delivered it inside my door (I have Prime). Setting it up was easy. The picture is the best I've ever seen, but I have to admit, we have had the same old tv set for over ten years, so this was a huge upgrade. From a 42 to a 77 inch OLED. All I can say is wow. And the sound is great too, I plan on connecting it to my surround sound stereo system, but for now, just using the built in speakers, and they sound loud and good. It's amazingly thin too, but to prevent it from breaking, had to have another person to help me lift it up onto our console table. The instructions did not include how to put the base together, but easily found a video on youtube. I'll update this review if any problems develop, but so far, five stars.

The only downside is the “Alexa compatibility”, you have to use the button on the remote for any control, it doesn’t work like other Alexa compatible tvs I have where I can nearly control every aspect with an external echo dot.

This is a god-level TV. The picture quality on this thing is indescribable - just stunningly beautiful. I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY by the quality of HDR content. I am a hardcore video snob. Coming from a plasma I was a bit worried about motion resolution. I'm happy to report that it is not much of an issue on this TV. Granted, motion DOES look better on a plasma, but this TV has the best looking motion I've seen on any non-plasma, non-CRT, TV. Also, it can do black frame insertion (BFI) at 60 or 120 Hz. If you are at all worried about motion resolution, BFI may be what you need. Normally BFI is a tradeoff: Increased motion resolution at the cost of brightness, but this TV actually does not lose very much brightness at all with BFI. (Much improved from the LG CX.) In my opinion, improved BFI and perhaps rolling scan are the wave of the future for OLED. I'm very satisfied with the all the video quality options/settings that are available.

As for the smart features, I quite simply do not use them. I have this TV hooked up to an HTPC, and the HTPC has all the smarts I need. I never hooked up any internet or wifi, so I can be sure the TV isn't showing me any ads, and isn't spying on me.

I waited for a sale on this TV to bring it down in cost a bit. While I’m always happy to save money, this tv really has been worth every penny.

Firstly, the picture quality is beautiful. All the colors are vibrant and stunning. Detail and definition is second to none. I compared it to my other smart 4K 120hz tv that isn’t an OLED. The difference is really quite noticeable. People stand out more. Backgrounds are more vibrant and beautiful. All around a step up.

I also use this tv for playing my Nintendo switch. While this isn’t going to upgrade the graphics a switch can output, it does enhance the colors a little bit. It makes things pop more than before. So it makes the picture feel a little higher quality.

Lastly, I watch anime and Netflix with this tv. In anime, all the colors stand out, the frame rate makes things nice and smooth, and it’s just all around a better experience.

The AI sound feature was nice too. Toggling it on and off you could notice a huge difference. I love using it and it really improves my experience. Gives almost a theater feel with it on. With it off you’re left with standard stereo. Standard stereo works but it just doesn’t immerse you as much.

If it’s in your budget, it’s definitely worth the money! I confidently can say any tv I purchase in the future needs to be an OLED now. It’s worth saving up a few more dollars to get one in my opinion!

Do not jack up your settings on the tv. Set it properly and you will have no problems with burn-in. I watch movies from time to time but primarily play games for 3-4 hours per sitting. No burn-in issues...no image retention etc. My PS5 is on HDMI 4 with that input being set to PC mode. Incredible television!! Hulu, Netflix, Prime...all load very quickly! Remote is very responsive. 4 120hz HDMI inputs! ARC on HDMI 2. Great tv!!!

Watching Avatar or Star Wars, or any other major box office film is a brand new experience on this TV! When I say this is the best picture quality I've ever seen, it isn't an overstatement or exaggeration. This TV has such a beautiful contrast, vivid colors, no motion blur, no gray blur in dark scenes, it's incredible! Sound quality is great too and works great with my old Samsung sound bar.

The smart features work great - only downside (according to my wife) is it doesn't support the Hallmark App or her Beach Body on demand app (whoopdy doo?) - this TV isn't for Christmas movies or working out, it's for an at home, cinema experience like no other!

Next up - LG BT surround sound!

Summary: Amazing TV with features and customization options that will allow you to make it an incredible experience. It takes work to get it there. The black on this TV makes my monitor underneath it look gray, it really is incredible (my first OLED).

I use this as a monitor. If you're using this as an entertainment center, might not find my settings helpful or a lot of info in this review. It will help guide you in the right direction, though. I'm not going to go into a lot of detail in how to get to stuff. I'll talk about things in a way that will help you know what to look for but you'll need to use other resources in how to get there.

Only "real" Con: I was not happy this didn't have a DP port having been released in the spring of 2021 with features that would allow it to be a performance monitor. I honestly just assumed it would have one and ended up having to go get another cable. That's on me. It's worth noting if you have 3 monitors that your other two may have to have DP as many modern graphics cards only have 1 HDMI and multiple DP outputs. I have an EVGA 3080 FTW3 Ultra and it only has one. Luckily this didn't affect me, but I can see how it could.

Packaging was great. This thing is heavy for a TV, so be careful. I'm a big guy and I could not mount this on my own and my wife was unable to lift one side high enough (she's tiny but I feel it's worth telling you, just be careful). Box is a lift off style so super easy is unbox. Side hinges get caught making it difficult to lift off because they fold inside, just fold them out before trying to pull it off. It will tip if you aren't ready for it. It's got a weird center of gravity and it's fine when on a flat surface but not on a carpet or with the styrofoam underneath it.

Mounting brackets are situated toward the bottom of the TV so it'll sit higher than other TVs if you bolt it on in the center. This causes the mounting brackets to stick out of the bottom just a tad if you compensate for this on an existing wall mount. Doesn't bother me, but could be worth noting for those that are more picky - you may need to move the wall mount down and TV brackets up a bit to avoid this. Again, very heavy, and only lift from the bottom - do not touch the screen. Support from the back but do not grab.

Controller has a motion control like a WII remote. If you're close to the TV it doesn't work well. You have to step back a bit. If you want to re-center it, point somewhere else and turn off the menu. Point directly at the center of the screen and hit the menu/setting button. It'll put the mouse point right in the middle. Controller is easy enough to use.

You must use an HDMI 2.1 cord only. If you're using a cord you've had for a while, it is not likely 2.1. These were first released at the tail end of 2020. Standard HDMI cables will turn this $1300 TV into a $400 TV. Keep that in mind.

From the input menu - first thing is to set your connect input to PC mode. The input latency will be terrible until you do that. It is amazing as soon as you switch that. It's weird to get to the menu where you can change the input types (top right after going home).

Dead pixel check - zero found on all colors using LCDTECH.

    Important steps:

4k/120hz set on PC, override colors/settings via Nvidia turned on, G-sync turned on. 200% in display settings. HDR turned on in display settings.

TV - picture mode set to Game Optimizer. (Personal settings, contrast to 85, brightness to 60, color depth 55, color temp to -15, sharpness to 0, Gamma set to BT.1866, black level auto). TV is in a "log cabin" like atmosphere, so a bit dimmer.

Game optimizer settings: Prevent input delay set to Boost.

Had some local dimming issues. Took me a few to figure this out but below is how to fix that:
Support -> OLED Care -> Device Self Care -> Energy Savings -> Energy Savings Step -> MUST TURN OFF.

In game optimizer, the monitor will dim if unused for a certain time. I do not recommend trying to bypass this, here's why: OLED's have a break-in period where they're fairly susceptible to burn-in. If you leave it on your desktop on accident while shoveling 8ft of snow, this might just save you. It will not dim when you're in a game.

Sound is great, A+ as far as TV speakers go with the AI on anyway. I don't use them honestly, so I'm not going to claim they'll blow you away with how incredible they are but they are super loud even for someone like myself with hearing damage and they sound crisp. Comes with a pretty cool stand with some cosmetics to hide it, I threw it all away.

That said, it takes a bit to get this thing setup properly. It is not worth 1300 out of the box but it's worth 2500 when it's setup properly. There are ways to do it professionally, but I just move things around until they look amazing to me and I leave it at that. In the end, all perception is subjective just by the nature the brain and the difference in our experiences.

I really didn't know what to expect out this thing, but so far this thing as far surpassed my expectations. I did hours of research looking for a TV I could use my console on and get the most out of it. Which was mainly anything with a high refresh rate of 120 or more and has at least one HDMI 2.1 port. The picture quality is excellent and built in features to minimize the risks of burn in are impressive. The only things I can point out as flawless are the smart sound feature and the glare you can get on the screen. The sound system seems to be a bit strange and has a habit of making things like talking really low and other random noises booming loud. I'd recommend just using the standard sound setting on the Tv, but you can always try either or out to see what you prefer. The glare really isn't noticeable for the most point, but in really dark settings it can be there. I still personally think it's ability to handle it is vastly superior to other TV's I've used. Overall I feel like this was a good purchase and I hope it holds up for at least a few years.

1st, I was a retail video (TV) Buyer for 9 years in a past life so I've seen more TV's than most (still a Plasma fan).
OK, the most important thing about a TV is the picture, not the OS, or the remote, or the frill add on's. And on that main feature, it's great. But not out of the box. Every TV made is shipped to you in "nuclear mode". Completely to much color, contrast, brightness etc. This is true with every brand. I want my movie picture to look realistic. And I want my sports to look like I'm there, live. This LG is capable of surpassing that standard. But if your looking for that, be prepared to spend hours adjusting, maybe over a few days, in different lighting conditions with different channels and different sources. I did, and I was able to find the best compromise for all types of programs. In the end,,, all automatic modes off,,, most filters and enhancers set to minimum or off, warm the light temp more than a bit and I changed the hue of 2 colors to get rid of the "cyan" influence that was far too strong. This TV is great. I hope it will last as long as my Samsung, which is retired to another room which we rarely use. My only gripe is that this old audiophile still has a Laser disc player (google it) and it use component (red, yellow and white plugs) cables... Can't use them on this without being creative (DVI adapter to HDMI, Audio sent to Elite receiver, blah blah).

Overall, my family is extremely happy with the TV, and that's what counts.

Like nearly everything about this unit. But (always a but) there are thing you can not change on this unit (C1) that you can on the A1 series. I wanted to get this OLED tv for a while and the recent drop in price made it worth it. I have it mounted on the wall in the living room (super thin) and using a surround sound unit with 4K Apple TV but we also have an HD antennae for local channels and the built-in sound is awesome. The built in operating system is...special, its kind of a cluttered mess but the unit is fast and responds to input well. The display is amazing.. No let downs, always impressive with any content whether movies, nature shows, older content, gaming, etc
Combined it with the SP9 soundbar for really great theatre/gaming experience.

The LG WebOS UI is good, plenty of apps, and everything is fast and responds without delay. Settings are easy to understand and laid in a simple, easy to use format. gaming mode is great, has it's own UI for settings, and kicks in automatically.

The 'magic' remote has some really good points.. as in you move it to point at things on screen (apps, settings, etc). This can be easier and a tube saver after you get used to it.. but will not be everyone's cup of tea. You don't have to use it though, either turn it off completely or just click the direction pad to navigate that way. The remote is large but fits the hand well and not hard to use for it's size, but not nearly as easy as a Roku, Fire, or Google TV remote.

    It's nice having 4 HDMI 2.1 ports.

No regrets, absolutely worth the money.

They had to look at my other TV to even figure out how to put the stand together, then they didn't bother hooking it up, like I paid for, cuz they were in a hurry. And then they weren't even going to take their trash with them, they wanted to leave it in my bins. Sure am glad I paid extra for the prime delivery and setup. My last TV I got from Costco, with their white glove service, and they were like night and day! Knew what they were doing, set up was quick, got it working OK, took all their trash with them, and I didn't have to tell them how to do their job. Next time, I'll go back to Costco!

Wife and I finally upgraded from a 35in Samsung we've had for years. My dad had done a ton of research and suggested this TV as an excellent choice, and totally lived up to expectations.

Credit to the retailer, Walts TV, for helping us through an initially difficult shipment. The original TV arrived via FedEx, with a hole in the box, but not large enough to cause major concern. It was only when we fully installed the TV that we noticed a small chip in the screen, super unfortunate!

There was initially confusion about whether we would have to pay the return shipping for the TV to be replaced, but it was cleared up that Walts would supply us with a FedEx return label, and then contacted FedEx and arranged for a pick-up from our apartment at no cost to us, given the huge size of the box (which we luckily didn't throw out at the start!)

The replacement TV arrived intact 8 days after the package was picked up for return, and this was over the Thanksgiving weekend. Glad this was all able to be worked out!

Replacing perfectly good plasma and the picture is noticeably better, brighter and gives more ‘pop’. Apps seem a little cluttered and bewildering at first but navigation is becoming easier with familiarity. Would definitely recommend purchase.

I hedged over and over again on buying this, but it's got so many great reviews, and it's basically been hailed as the best large screen monitor for PC gaming, even though it's actually a TV. I've seen a few reviews complaining about picture issues, and I would suggest that either those people got a defective one, or were using an improper HDMI cable for 4k/120hz. You will need an HDMI 2.1 cable for that. I had no issues at all, even setting it up alone was easy, but I'm a bigger guy, YMMV. It's hands down the best monitor I've ever owned, by a long shot, would definitely buy it again. I don't use or even want the smart features so I can't comment on that, but if you're looking for some serious high quality screen real estate for your gaming setup, you need look no further. 5/5

I chose this product based on the the review by RTINGS and I can honestly say I'm loving it so far. Both the picture and sound quality are phenomenal no matter what kind of content I'm watching/playing. From a 27" 1080p LCD ASUS VS238H-B to a 48" 4K OLED LG C1, the visual difference it makes in my favorite games is astounding and would definitely recommend if you're looking for a good monitor. The SMART features however I've come to dislike and as a TV with app storage, not being able to install ALL of my TV services is kind of disappointing. I understand that I COULD set up an external box but that would defeat the purpose of buying this TV in the first place. It comes with most of the main media platforms installed and the only unsupported one that I use so far is Crunchyroll. As a small note for Funimation users, you will need a keyboard to log in to the app as it does not support the onscreen keyboard.

This TV is so easy to use and create account set up and login to streaming services. It has an mouse to move around which makes everything fast and easily accessible. Don’t purchase the delivery package, they just left it at my front door and I had to find someone to carry it up the stairs and unbox it which is what I paid $29.99 for them to do. It seems impossible to get a refund on this option as well.

I’ve been wanting this tv since I bought my ps5 back in March. I finally decided to buy it when it dropped in price from $1499 down to $1099. This TV can handle the processing power the ps5 and all next gen gaming require. The graphics and processing speed are amazing! My gaming has severely improved on Call of Duty Warzone immensely!! I’m in the top ten almost every match! I upgraded from a 42” LG 1080p TV I bought back in 2005. The old LG still works great after 16 years of use, so I knew LG is a brand to be trusted. I’m really happy with this purchase. 5 stars ⭐️ for sure.

Have ever seen. I was looking at the Samsung Neo QLED which I’m sure is a fine TV, but ultimately I decided to go with OLED and I’m so glad I did.

Contrast is spectacular and blacks are dark! Everything you are supposed to get from OLED. I was a bit worried it wouldn’t be bright enough but it is more than enough. Able to watch during day with sunlight coming from 2 different sides of the room.

Spectacular! Buy it. You won’t be disappointed.

This is a must have television. Absolutely love it. The picture is amazing, bright, and vivid. The built-in speakers are ok, but I do not use them. If you are using this tv, you really need a surround sound system. The built in smart features are really good...for a tv. There are some of the smaller apps missing that you would get on an Apple TV or Roku, but it has a surprising amount of apps and they work really well.
I could go into the actual specs, because I researched this again others like Sony and Samsung, but the short of it was I have two friends who have an older model and raved about it. So if you want a tv with amazing quality and features, then look no further.

I'm using this as the video part of my audio/video system so I'm not using any of it's "smart" attributes, like Alexa, for instance. But the picture is great. It's brightness is about the same as many other new tv's but it's dark (black) aspects of the picture are outstanding. Not perfect but much better than my Samsung that I replaced it with. Maybe I'll start playing around with it's capabilities eventually, but for now, my Roku and my sound system are all I need.

I am using this as a computer monitor. I'm not much of a gamer, but I do care about how these monitors affect my eyes. You can't beat OLED picture quality. I thought ABL would be an issue, but I actually like how it dims the display when the screen is really bright. I use dark mode, and the text is crisp and clear. Is 48" too big for a monitor? Well it works fine for me, but I have a large desk, and I like the text to be large. Since the viewing angles are great, I have no issues seeing the edges. But to make it the "ideal" computer monitor, I'd say a 60" 8K curved monitor would be amazing. I guess in 10 years. You do have to move around your head to read text. If you feel the size will bother you, you may want to go with a 42" OLED (when available), at the cost of smaller text size. For me and my eyes, I love this 48" C1.

The picture quality is great, but there a lot of TVs with great pictures. This TV stood out for me because it good built-in sound. You could still add a sound bar or home theater, but sound from the TV is very good. The bass is good and you actually hear it (but not feel the rumble - neighbors probably don't like that anyway. The smart TV part is excellent. Apps are easy to load and use. The wireless capability is quick. Great speed from streaming. Best part of the TV for me.

Managed to snag this TV at ~$400 off the typical price point here on Amazon, and I am SO glad we did! When you switch to a 4K OLED TV, I will equate it to the transition from SD to HD back in the day (I'm 34, so I still remember); you didn't realize how excellent of a jump you were making until you made it, and now it's hard to look back. Upgraded from the Vizio 55" OLED and the webOS experience is muuuuch better though still with some quirks. Here are my thoughts so far:

    Video & OLED Panel:
    - Incredibly crisp, beautiful colors, minimal calibration needed (for personal preference)
    - Dolby Vision looks fantastic
    - 120Hz on the PS5 looks incredibly nice, though I don't think I take full advantage of it...casual gaming household
    - Any upscaling, like on the Nintendo Switch, looks fantastic from our sofa ~8-10 feet away

    Sound
    - It's ok with the back-firing speakers, nothing incredible. Currently using a Sonos Beam (gen 1) with two Play:1 satellites that do plenty for any media consumption

    webOS Interface:
    - The recent-ish upgrade switched to a more card-based layout; it works well enough
    - There seem to be too many levels needed to get to various settings, some of which can be accessed by "quick" settings while others seem only to be done by the home menu, like manually changing the name of inputs
    - There is no way to customize or turn off the art screensaver - while there's somewhat of a selection available, I wouldn't say it's enough to say it's competing with the TV that offered this functionality first (looking at you, Samsung). I'd like to have more options WITH the art screensaver and maybe provide other things like the fireworks back.
    - We have it integrated with our Home Assistant network; when connected to our home network via ethernet, we can control and automate the TV after a bit of customization.

All in all, I still have zero regrets about this purchase. If you're in the market for a new TV, check out this OLED, you won't regret it!

Arrived undamaged. Easily mounted over fireplace. Connected rapidly to wifi. UI was pretty snappy on mine, way faster than my xfinity x1 cable box. Passwords easily entered with magic remote. Linked flawlessly to my lg soundbar that's a few years old with eARC connection. If you have old hdmi cables, don't cheap out and reuse them. Buy new 2.1 high speed cables.
Ok so the first thing I did after all that was to turn off the auto dimming and eco mode. Why people in the reviews say you have to have some secret squirrel service remote is not true. You go into "settings", then down to "all settings" then click on the headphones (supprt) and it's literally right there. Why didn't they put it in picture settings? Not sure but don't care. Then I changed the picture setting to expert bright room but allowed auto film maker mode to kick in when it detects a cinematic movie that plays how the director intended. Man what a picture! I have a really good 65" samsung led and this blows it away in every way.
Gallery mode is great over the fireplace, looks like real framed artwork.
Be careful removing from box, the panel is literally 2mm thick. I saw a review with a line all the way down the screen, that was from mishandling the panel 100%. Read directions....
Can't find any cons yet, to nitpick I would have liked the hdmi ports on the same side as the power cable so everything feeds the same direction but that's really being petty lol.
At 30% off plus 10% cash back it was a no brainer.

    Couple thoughts
    1. Image is great. You cannot beat the black levels on these OLEDs. Before purchasing I took a brief view at other display technologies. I believe they are getting better and starting to catch up with OLED, but as far as black levels and light control OLED is a no compromises choice. Completely removes any uncertainty.

    2. I had read about some displays being brighter. This (2021 LG C1) is bright enough. At least it has not been an issue in a room with quite a few windows with indirect sun light.

    3. Out of the box shadow or darker areas of any video in SDR are a bit too dark. After some internet and a little time in the settings menus I corrected this. This may be a matter of preference.

    4. Smart TVs are dumb. I’d prefer manufactures got out of the entertainment software business. The number of services included with WebOS on this TV is pretty impressive and can really get you going out if the box but I find it clunky and slow. A third party streamer (AppleTV, FireTV,etc) will be a better experience. Something supper cool that is exempt from the above critique is the built in support for Apples airplay and what ever Windows 10 uses to “cast” your laptop/phone display to the TV. Not a super useful feature on a daily basis but still pretty neat.

Summary: fantastic purchase. Image quality is blowing my mind. First HDR tv so maybe that’s why. Whatever the reason I’m rewatching a ton of content I’d only first seen in SDR and really enjoying it.

The picture and sound (even without a soundbar) are outstanding. A large step up from my old 1080p set. The remote with its cursor when you wave it around takes a few minutes to figure out, but it actually works pretty good. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase. I do have a few observations, however:

DOCUMENTATION - The documentation is rubbish. You just have to figure out how to put it together, there are only minimal instructions. YouTube videos are your friend.

REMOTES - I rather like the remote, but it is rf, NOT ir. My wife just wants basic control; a bunch of buttons on the remote just frustrate her. So, I was happy that her simple old “universal” infrared remote works just fine.

ALEXA - The Echo Dot in my living room controls the TV; on-off, mute, volume up or down, and channel change. Again, the worthless documentation slowed setup down, but when I figured out the secret, setup was a breeze. The secret is that there are TWO Alexa paths on this TV. One path is that this TV can BECOME an Alexa - I did NOT need this, since I already have the Echo Dot in the room. The other path is that this TV can be CONTROLLED by Alexa - that is the one I wanted. So, what I figured out was to IGNORE the Alexa choice in the TV setup screen. You need the LG ThinQ app on your Android or iPhone and a login and password on LG’s servers. It helped to enable the LG ThinQ skill in the Alexa app on my phone. After all of that, it guided me through linking Alexa to the app. Once it’s linked, Alexa can control.

ADS - To paraphrase the 2001 movie, “My god, it’s full of ads!!!” The TV is connected to the Internet, and it is not shy about plugging products. Also the ThinQ app, although needed for Alexa setup, is mostly junk advertising. LG also tries to collect a bunch of personal information- my recommendation is to give a phony birthday (they won’t proceed without a birthday!!!) and address - zip code, fine, but why do they need my address? From what friends say, the other brands are also pushing ads, so I can’t really grump about LG.

That’s my review; I definitely recommend this TV.

TV lives up to it's reputation as the best picture quality in its' class.

As an aside I'm still shocked at the actions of a delivery driver who apparently chose to not ring my doorbell and I guess I didn't hear his knock while I was in the shower a 7:30 a.m. I received a text saying my expensive tv had been delivered and handed to the resident. Looking around - no tv. I chatted on line with Amazon and they suggested the package was mis-scanned but they couldn't do anything for 36hrs. At 6pm a woman across the street knocked on my door and asked if I was expecting a delivery and I said yes. Her daughter works at the local city rec center said they had the tv there and recognized the address and called her mother. No word came from the driver; no word came from Amazon. I was lucky not to lose out on a $1800.00 purchase

We recently moved to the city and needed to downsize from an 82" to a 65" television. After a lot of research, we choose this one and boy are we impressed. The clear edge to edge picture makes it feel like a larger television, the different sound options are cool, and all the other Smart features included are a plus. Living in an upstairs apartment, we also paid for the room delivery and it worked out perfectly as they delivered it right to our living room. I can say, if you are remotely considering getting a next gen TV - get this one!!!! It is phenomenal. Don’t listen to what people say about it not performing in areas with lots
Of sunlight, my living room is flooded with sunlight and the picture is still crisp. It does perform way better at night, but what TV doesn’t look good in the dark. This one looks 10x better than any other tv out there. It is the gold standard. The only thing I don’t like about this TV is the Smart tv features. It’s a hot mess. The UI isn’t very friendly to navigate and the Home Screen is cluttered with APs. Hopefully LG fixes that with an update. If you have another smart tv device like Apple TV or Roku, use that! Other than that, stellar tv. Worth every penny. I got the 77” version.

Everything I plug into it is perfectly integrated and instantly responds to the LG remote control. The Filmaker mode will auto detect the show I am watching and adjust to the intended settings of the film, preventing me from feeling like a box office movie is a soap opera. On the other end of that, video games are super fluid and clear. Then there is the main reason I bought this TV: the picture quality. No longer are the days of being distracted by aberrations and weird pixelated grays and blacks in darker scenes. This OLED technology has solved it. Everything I watch feels like I am on my new Macbook Pro screen, which I hold in high regard for its quality. I first paired the TV with the LG 7.1.4 soundbar, which according to their marketing would give me some sort of extra integration features. That turned out to be a dissapointment and I returned it. I then got a JBL 9.1 and now, now I am content. The dolby atmos via HDMI arc is magical and immerses you in the scene you're watching, with sound coming from above, behind and every which way. Nothing left wanting. We've finally arrived. Great job LG (minus the sound bar).

Using this 48" LG C1 OLED set for sports, movies, TV series and news (not gaming) and couldn't be happier. First 4K HDR set after 7 years with a similar sized 1080p LED. The solid black OLED background (as it should be) is a game-changer over the old uneven light-gray LED background. Did a bit of experimenting with picture settings which you can save for each HDMI input (helpful).
The built-in sound (also adjustable for each HDMI input) is good enough that I have ditched our excellent old ZVOX soundbase cabinet speaker, for now.
Easy setup of built-in streaming services, but I prefer to use our HDMI 4K Roku, Amazon, and Chromecast streaming dongles.
One of the selling points of this model is the stand base which fits well on our narrow-ish TV stand rather than the usual widely-separated spindly-leg models.
Overall, very pleased with the LG OLED set so far.

Coming from the 2020 Vizio M7-Series Quantum TV to this, I must say the LG C1 OLED is literally the best TV I've ever owned in my life if not also the expensive TV I've ever purchased yet!
LG C1 has just about everything a man can ask for, breathtaking beautiful picture quality, fluid clean motion, incredible features, a pretty useful Smart TV OS (via webOS), a nice comfortable remote control, surprisingly decent internal speakers (though a soundbar or a AV receiver speaker setup is still recommended for much better sound), near flawless gaming experience, and more! Regarding the features, you get not one, not two, but four HDMI 2.1 inputs all of them capable of 4K up to 120hz , and speaking of that, gaming on the LG C1 has been a blast with my Xbox Series X, 4K 120fps works flawlessly, the input lag is extremely low, VRR including Freesync Premium performance works very well at making gaming screen tear free no matter the frame rate, and lastly this (and maybe G1 as well as the QNED MiniLED and one or two Nanocell TVs from LG) TV even legitimately supports Dolby Vision gaming up to 4K@120! Watching movies, TV shows, and/or sports on the LG C1 have all been extremely fun as well thanks to the aforementioned PQ delivering infinite contrast and black levels, great colors, excellent detail & clarity, perfect viewing angles, and pretty decent to good overall peak brightness including on HDR10 and Dolby Vision content, diehard videophiles will fall in love with this TV too! Upscaling of sources below 1080p content is also very good, haven't noticed any notable banding nor horrible artifacts and annoying noise whatsoever. The only con I have for the LG C1 is that it doesn't support DTS at all, so if you're like me and got lots of DTS-HD MA or DTS:X movies, please just plug your external device directly to the soundbar or AVR and there DTS will work that way as LG TVs stop supporting DTS altogether since 2020, they only support Dolby (up to Atmos) and LPCM now. Also LG doesn't support HDR10+ neither, but it may or may not be a big deal to most people since HDR10+ content is pretty limited still compared to Dolby Vision. In conclusion, the LG C1 is a wonderful TV and is by far the best money can truly get you, especially based on the current low prices right now as of this review writing on November 8th, 2021, very highly recommended. Now if one is in a very bright area, I might not recommend this TV (or pretty much any OLED in general) to you and tell you to go get a very bright QLED TV instead like the Samsung QN90A or Hisense U8G. As for the infamous burn-in fears, lemme tell ya, pretty much since 2018 LG and Sony have gotten a lot better at lowering burn-in chances and adding plenty of anti-burn in mitigations to make your TV last longer, so honestly you have nothing to worry about with burn-in nowadays, especially if you do various content rather than just doing one very same thing all day/night every day/night.

Nothing to say but, absolutely amazing picture! Okay, yes, it better be for the cost but, you won’t be disappointed. Black is true black and colors just pop. And it’s the same from every angle your watching it from, clear and crisp. And even it’s sound system is very good. Best out of the box standard sound I’ve heard. Not even plugging in my surround sound.
Con: Your other TVs will not all seem blurry in comparison.

I own 2021 models of both Sony and LG OLEDs, so this review is from an unbiased and fair perspective. I primarily use the Sony for PS5 gaming and the LG for movies, but both are used for movies at times. The LG is the clear winner in visual quality. I’ve been incredibly pleased with the picture and audio. This TV will not disappoint. I find the remote to be user friendly and useful, where some reviewers do not like it. Highly recommend this TV.

This TV has a beautiful picture and a very sturdy stand of its own. I don't fine the remote to be cheap as some other people did but I do find navigating the screens to be a challenge. I'm always a little skeptical about upgrading a computer or TV, worried the investment won't be worth the improvement. It took me nine years to trade in my trusty Samsung HD, but I'm so glad I did. This television is spectacular, top to bottom, beginning to end.

The picture is off the charts -- genuinely the best I've ever seen, to the point that when I see people walking out of Costco or Best Buy with any other brand or model, I have to bite my tongue to keep from telling them what a mistake they've made. Perfect blacks. Bright greens, blues, reds, whatever color you want. The picture setting options might be overwhelming, but give them some time and you'll zero in on what you're looking for. My best advice is follow someone else's advice on youtube and fine tune from there.

The TV's internal speakers are pretty impressive. My last TV, much as I loved it, had godforsakenly awful speakers that necessitated a sound system. The LG's speakers probably wouldn't require a separate sound system... except the TV is capable of processing Atmos, so you're missing out on an integral part of the viewing experience (this is something I wasn't aware of until now, not having surround sound/Atmos enabled speakers).

I'd say the smart TV portal is the only downside, but you get used to it with time and it's not awful. Apple TV and Roku are more streamlined with fewer to no ads, but in the end you can save yourself the $50 to $200 unless you absolutely require them. No judgments if you do. I bought the latest Apple TV along with the LG, skeptical of smart TVs, and I rarely use it.

If you're worried about spending the money for this TV, all I can say is it's going to be a while before you have to upgrade again. Nothing's shot in 8K, Atmos is cutting edge without being a fad, and OLED is the high watermark of picture quality with nothing remotely near challenging it on the horizon so far as I can tell.

    This is the one.

Beautiful picture quality, beautiful visuals, beautiful deep blacks - games look amazing! i wish the webOS portion was a bit faster but it still works nicely. the sound is really good, but for hardcore games, a good soundbar will still be needed. it's a bit on the pricy side but definitely well worth it - it was designed with gamers in mind.

I felt like a fool hitting the purchase button on a TV that cost this much but good LORD is this was modern viewing experiences are supposed to be like? The TV boosts a great refresh rate so you can, if you're like us, accustomed to sub-modern HD watching experiences, be initially confused by the high-ass framerate of some shows and movies these days.

Basically, the picture quality is great, the colour depth (especially, as is OLED's wont, darker and black colours) is fantastic, and "being able to broadcast YouTube to the TV from our phones" is about as deep as I want to get into the Internet of Things ecosystem but even that's, like, mind blowingly nice to have.

Also it's extremely thin to the point where I was afraid to touch it for a while. Great TV. Pick this one if you want to plug a lot of stuff into it - consoles, media computers, &c &c.

I was concerned about getting an OLED TV because I heard the brightness wasn't as good as LED.

    This was NOT the case.

I am a movie buff ,so picture quality is important to me. This TV certainly delivers!

The picture quality is the best I've seen in a TV. The brightness is not an issue at all. In fact if nobody told me that OLEDs are not very bright I would never even had a concern.

I usually hook up a full surround sound system but I just hookef this up in my new house and the sound is so good that I'm considering not putting in the surround sound and that's a big deal for me!

Whatever concerns you may have about buying this TV, put them aside.

    This TV is awesome!

I received the LG C1 several days ago. I see amazing differences in streaming video, almost like you're watching a daily soap opera. It's freaky.

Someone posted something about putting the pedestal together as a two man experience. I understand because I put the pedestal on and moved it myself. It's heavy, although it appears like glass, except the base you don't see. After that, set-up seems easy.

In sum, try to have to have someone there to help you move the TV, and look to Youtube if you have problems putting the pedestal on. Otherwise, I'm still getting used to it.

I am got this TV to use primarily with my Xbox series X and and my Apple TV. I use the main streaming services and YouTube TV. It fully meets / Exceeds my expectations.

    Gaming:
    - Amazing, the TV works great but make sure you have a HDMI 2.1 cable
    - I am using this cable

run into input 1. I have my system hidden in a closet and have a long run. This cable works flawlessly for long HDMI 2.1 runs.
    - The TV automatically determined it was a Xbox and put gaming mode on with VRR / Dolby Vision /etc.
    - Using a Rting site to get advise on tuning the TV settings for gaming and then using Xbox TV tuning, COD BO Cold War looks amazing with no more tearing (my old 2016 Samsung 4K LCD had this tearing)
    - ARC back to my receiver works great, but my receiver is not eARC so I do not get the full Dolby Atmos from xbox (but I am ok with that since I only have 5.1 speaker setup right now.)

    Apple TV 4K 2021 model:
    - This run through my HDMI 2.0 AV Receiver which is then run to TV Input 2 with ARC (my receiver is not eARC capable)
    - All the streaming services look amazing after using Rting site for tuning (with some changes to make YTTV a little crisper; I do not pay for YTTV 4K)
    - I do pay for Netflix 4K and it looks amazing

    SmartOS TV:
    - I hardwired my TV to my network after setup via Wifi / LG App
    - LG App setup was great when comparing the Samsung Smart TV App setup
    - I like the landing page with the apps
    - The apps work great but I will be using my Apple TV
    - Screen casting from iPhone to the TV for Youtube was easy and works great also
    - ARC worked great to get audio off TV back to AV Receiver from the TV applications

    Just WOW.
I have been selling and delivering and installing TVs for 40 years.
This thing is nothing less than amazing.
The subtle blacks with so much detail.
Forget what you may have heard about OLED being dark. This thing is bright AF.
    178º viewing angle.
If you are not used to LG remotes they take a little getting used to. It is NOT a universal remote by any means and NOT IR.
The picture though. I replaced my plasma. It was the last plasma ever offered and I (used to) love it.
The colors on this thing are almost too vivid. Still tweaking that.
4K is an emotional experience with this.
    Have not gamed yet.
The base is very solid though can tip forward so I recommend clamping the back part of the base to whatever stand you put it on.
I am using simple old school c clamps and a piece of wood to secure it.
I use an OTA DVR from 10 years ago and had no idea it could record such a sharp image.
Now there are some minor flaws the tweakers may point out.
The upscaling in this thing is top shelf. 1080p broadcast looks like 4k
    More to follow.

I ultimately settled between the LG OLED65CXPUA and the LG OLED65C1PUB as I had enjoyed great picture quality, response times, and smart functionality with the 55” model of the CX, and the CX 65 was significantly cheaper than the 65 C1. I ultimately opted for the C1 and I’m very happy that I did.

Starting with the picture, the C1 seems to manage a much higher brightness, which is great for helping offset some of the reflections from the windows in my living room. Reflection handling in general is better; I don’t know if the coating changed or not, but even off the display seems to do a better job at handling lighting. As a result, you can enjoy similar longevity at a higher brightness, or you can dial the brightness back, still enjoy great contrast, and prolong the life of the display.

Moving on to smart functionality, I originally intended on using an Xbox to handle streaming services, but LG’s baked-in apps do a pretty solid job on their own. I mainly stick to Hulu, Spotify, and YouTube, so your mileage may vary if you use other apps, but they have been solid and performed well, so well in fact that the ever-so-slightly slower CX 55 I now have in the office seems much slower than it actually is. My favorite functionality has been the ability to mirror my PC and Apple devices to the display wirelessly; being able to throw a stream, website, or photos up quickly has been something I previously had to use my Xbox to accomplish and is now much more simple.

My one complaint is that the remote changed between previous generations and this one, and not for the better. It is a glossy plastic almost all the way around, except for the button housing, and collects fingerprints and subtle surface scratches immediately. I use a universal remote, so mine has not been used much, yet it is still perpetually dirty and has somehow acquired in the limited use that it has seen.

As for gaming, this TV SLAPS. The high refresh rate (for a TV), coupled with ultra-low response times and high resolution make this one of the best, if not the best, gaming display I’ve ever used. I wouldn’t (and don’t) use this for PC gaming, instead relying on an Xbox Series X, and it is the perfect pairing for it.

Overall this TV is rather expensive for its size, but it is 100% worth it. If the next generation comes and has LG’s 2nd Gen OLED panel, I would opt for that, but until that panel makes its way to the C-series, this is THE 65” TV to buy.

A great frickin TV. One of the best models you can get for both gaming and movies. HDR is insanely good and I love the prompts for it that differentiates the fake 'HDR' from the real one. Sound is good, as good as a TV speaker can get. Slightly expensive than your average TV but worth it in the long run, if you are going for a luxury like a TV go all out right?

I use this set in a dedicated home theater in completely dark lighting. I only watch blu-rays there, and with 4K UHD blu-rays the picture is jaw-dropping. The default picture settings it comes with are no doubt intended for standing out in a brightly-lit big-box electronics store, so very bright and garish. Unless you live in such a place, you should go into the settings menu and calibrate it down for realistic colors and contrast.

I had a CX that I sold, but missed dearly because I couldn't go back to little 27-32" monitors anymore - so I got this updated C1. You can't beat OLED picture quality, can't beat the lack of inverse ghosting during gaming, the excellent viewing angles, and the sheer usefulness of having an actual TV as a monitor. The only cons - no display ports, and waking the TV from sleep is a pain in the butt at times. If this TV had DP 1.4 then it'd be perfect IMO, but I'm stuck with HDMI 2.1, which isn't the biggest deal considering I'm running an RTX 3000 series GPU. If you have the desk space or the layout to sit a bit far away from the TV, then this will ruin you for life with its amazingness. If LG comes out with a 32", 38", or a 42" version of this TV with DP, it'll be gg for most manufacturers.

Unbelievable 4K 120 HZ HDR gaming monitor

    I’m speechless. I might buy a second one i can’t even lie.

I never was able to buy expensive stuff till I got hit by a bad driver and was injured.
I got a bunch of money which i promptly invested into Crypto and it grew, then i made a few purchases, including this TV which is expensive but worth it as a long term investment. I use my computer/gaming systems BD 4K etc all the time constantly so having a great Display is also important. Games like Cyberpunk look beautiful using my pC with a Nvidia 2080 Super. there are few technologies that can fully take advantage of this display as its got 4K resolution even my Nvidia doesn't max it out, this TV does true 4k and my Nvidia natively runs at a slightly lower 3840x2160 so i've got room for improvement I guess. I suspect anyone buying this would not be disappointed especially if they're not used to buying nice stuff and are ready to take a chance on this.

OLED screen is thin and gorgeous. I got a 77” for my relatively small media room of only 10’ x 12’ and the clarity of the screen means large screen will work in a smaller space. Totally immersive viewing experience. I connect to an Apple TV so can’t comment on the “smart” features but can say Apple TV has never looked better. Also connected to a new sonos Arc to support Dolby atmos which sounds incredible. Use the simple Apple TV Remote to control everything. One cable in for video one cable out for sound. Simple. Stunning.

First off, this thing is big! I'm coming from a sixty inch and those five additional inches makes quite a difference, so make sure you measure your viewing space accordingly! Also, I found the interface a little clunky at first, but once you get the hang of it you're good to go. The picture itself right out of the box is AMAZING, but depending on what your source is, some of the colors will look washed out. I suggest looking up a couple of YouTube videos on how to change the settings on your C1 to get the best picture, you won't regret it. Once you get you picture to how YOU like it, you'll never want anything other than OLED again! This is by far the best purchase I've ever made when buying a television! Oh, if you're not mounting it to a wall, the stand is a bit tricky to put together and make sure you lay down a comforter or soft blanket on a flat surface then put it on. You're going to need two people to pick it up and put it on the tv stand. Then hook up your Xbox Series X or PS5 and enjoy the magic!

First up. Unboxing and setup. This was stressful and nerve wracking for someone who is fairly comfortable with electronics. The thinness of the screen combined with lack of area to hold made getting this thing unboxed and hung on the wall a nightmare. The hanging on the wall was the easiest part. But like fool I read (well looked at the picture instructions for unboxing) the instructions and found myself with the TV standing upright with the lower half of the box and styrofoam still together but the top styrofoam and outer box removed to the side and I realized there was no way I and another person would be able to lift AND THEN LAY flat on the front so I could assemble either the wall mount or the stand. The weight and thinness of the screen made any attempt to rotate forward cause considerable torque and stress where the screen meets the speakers. So… we ended up reboxing it, laying it on the front, removing the bottom styrofoam and box portion, attaching the wall mount, re adding the styrofoam and then tilting back upright. At which point hanging it was a breeze. Needless to say the real MVP was the styrofoam.

After that ordeal… we fired it up and watched an episode of Life in Color and wow… stunning. We upgraded from an 8 year old plasma so I’ve never seen anything 4K on a big TV and it was mind boggling.

As for features we got the Lg TV app for our iPhones so we can use them as remotes. It works great, we connected it to our Alexa network and can control volume with voice commands. (We can’t figure out how to make it turn off with a voice command so we’re using an Alexa smart plug for that)

The WebOS operating system is fine. I don’t have that much to compare it to, but it displays the apps we want and I had no trouble watching any of the content I normally do. (YouTube, Hulu, Netflix, YouTube Kids)

I found the settings for manually adjusting color a bit difficult to navigate but otherwise the settings for changing brightness/contrast/sharpness are what I expected.

The sound was much much better than I anticipated. I am not expecting amazing 5.1 sound coming from my TV so my expectations were reasonable and met.

I don’t have any next gen consoles so I can’t speak to the gaming quality, but I did buy this with the knowledge that I’ll be able to take advantage of the latest gaming technology once I can get my hands on a ps5.

TV delivery service was fantastic. The first 10-15 minutes of watching the tv was great, then it proceeded to turn itself off and back on randomly. I tried ever reset known with no solution. I had to contact LG support and now I’m told it will be 3 to 5 business days before I’m contacted by an authorized service provider. Unbelievable to me it would take this long to service a brand spanking new tv D.O.A. I’ll update this review once I ever get it serviced. UPDATE: after no luck with LG finding someone to service my defective tv, I called Amazon customer service and they immediately shipped me a replacement and are having the other tv picked up. I've been eyeing a new LG OLED TV for at least the last year, since my previous television was a terrible edge-lit LED with bad (at least to me) vertical banding issues. I had heard that these TVs for LG were the real deal, but the significant cost held me back until I finally had to just cave (one too many dark movies with that horrendous banding issue).

Within about 5 minutes of getting some Dolby Vision content up on the TV streaming from Netflix (Our Planet), I had a huge grin on my face and knew that I made a great decision. These panels are just unbelievable, and everyone that sees them, display nerd or not, will recognize that.

    Cannot recommend highly enough!

Picture is great. My prior LG for whatever reason after 5 years was washed out and could not get colors correct.
Two minor issues. Having 20 languages on really useless info the instructions for assembling particularly the base with zero words including Up or Down arrows are poor. There are only two parts to the base (which is very heavy and excellent.) Have to guess how they fit together before using the three small screws! They only fit together one way so keep trying all combinations until it fits in groves (not obvious) and the screw holes align! Attaching the TV is somewhat more obvious BUT unlike the sketch provided which as advised (also not perfectly obvious) is laying with screen down (in my case on a rug) have to raise the bottom up ~3 inches and the base fits so the 4 small screws align. Overall not rocket science but exercise in visual relationships from limited sketches!
Pic is great, worth the high price, IMO. Note to get all WiFi features you will have to "Accept" all those listed. Yep, like other new TVs lots of offers may come BUT don't have to buy any. Remote is different BUT useful. In my case only use the Cable provider's remote and unlike one of our other TV's goes directly to the Cable IF that is where it was last used. Yep gets a 5 Star.

The LG C1 may well have the greatest cost-to-performance ratio of any television on the market. LG’s OLED technology is second to none, resulting in the most uncannily accurate picture I’ve seen in person. Its native contrast creates absolute black levels, seamlessly woven with the brightest whites. Unlike your standard LCD television, the C1 is capable of turning on or off individual pixels. The result of this is spot-on image brightness, color, and detail. The picture quality is absolutely true to life, like looking through a window. As far as the image quality is concerned, the one point of criticism one might find is in its ability to shine in a brightly lit room. As with most OLED displays, the C1 sacrifices a bit of brightness for visual fidelity. As such, if you have unrelenting and uncontrollable light beaming into your living room, I may encourage you to steer clear. LG TVs include their own proprietary software, webOS, which feels like a second-rate operating system. Upon pulling up LG’s home screen, you are bombarded with advertisements, with no real way of turning them off. Scrolling past those ads will bring you to the apps you have chosen to install. I might recommend plugging in your own Roku stick or Apple TV, to avoid LG’s clunky interface. Despite the less-than-ideal home page, if it’s within your budget, and if you don’t intend on putting it in a room surrounded by windows, I would highly recommend the LG C1. It’s truly the best TV I’ve ever owned.

Well, the virus struck, and since I was quarantined to the bedroom my wife said we should upgrade the TV in there so I could play my Xbox, watch movies, etc. Truthfully I think she wanted it more for when she was allowed back in…she uses it every night to keep me awake…errr…I mean, put her to sleep. 🤪

So, we upgraded to an OLED. I thought a 42” would be big enough…she suggested the 55”…and, as you can see, she won that argument. Who am I to complain about that?

LG has certainly cornered the market on OLED screens! The visuals on this TH are amazing. Absolutely love the crispness. We have an Apple TV, so we don’t use many of the smart functions, but the ones I have used were easy to figure out.

Delivery was awesome: two Amazon drivers in a box truck dropped it off on a Saturday morning, and my wife and I carried it upstairs and installed it…she made me wear a full on virus suit, mask, oxygen tank, and sprayed Lysol in the air behind me as I walked. What a nightmare that was! I felt like Dustin Hoffman in that Virus movie!

All in all I highly recommend LG OLED TVs. They are amazing! Word of warning, BE CARFUL handling them!! They are very fragile! The one in my basement has a black spot along the edge where my 5 yr old shot it with a nerf gun! Needless to say we now have him doing hard labor to pay it off. But, I guess that will help him build some muscle tone for football in the future. Right?

LG OLEDs are the king of the crop, when it comes to OLED technology and TVs. Brands like Sony have OLED offerings, but the screen and OLED panels are manufactured by LG. Think about that for a second.
The C1 series is not LG's top of the line, but 2nd best of the line, when it comes to their OLED lineup. However, you are not losing any quality if you choose the C1 series. New for 2021, they supersede the CX series and are very similar to the CX line. There are minor upgrades, newer software and user interface, as well as some I/O. The magic remote is very nice and intuitive. If you want the best of the best, you would have to spend a little more for the EVO series. The real difference is the EVO series are a lot brighter than the C1 line. This is important if you plan to put the TV close to a window that gets a lot of sunlight. In most cases, the C1 will suffice and you will be happy with it.
The screen is glossy and very reflective, so also keep that in mind. If you watch TV mostly in the evenings or in a room where you can close the blinds, no issues whatsoever. I find that you can easily get used to the reflection. Unless you're constantly watching very dark scenes, this won't be an issue.
If you want a budget friendly OLED, go with the CX. If you want the latest in I/O and software with remote, go for the C1. If you want the best LG has to offer and the best OLED the world has to offer, go for the EVO panels. I went with the C1, it is a night and day difference versus no OLED screens. Forget Samsung and their marketing tactics with QLED or NANO LEDs. Nothing beats OLED. Once you go OLED, there's not going back...be warned!

I owned a previous LG OLED set and decided to upgrade the screen size and take advantage of this set’s gaming capabilities. With an Xbox Series X, this TV supports every, and I mean EVERY, screen resolution and refresh speed. Games look amazing, but watching 4K contents in Dolby Vision using an Apple TV box is eye-popping. It’s like looking through a window as Thanos snaps his fingers, or Dom launches his super car between two skyscrapers. Insane clarity.

This purchase was for my bedroom, wanted the same features as my O-led signature tv in the
living room. You cannot beat the picture, quality, looks of an LG O-led TV. Many apps, like amazon

is fantastic on the new sets. You will not regret purchasing this wonderful TV. Highly recommend.

In the course of the last several years, I have had a number of tv's. I honestly believe that LG makes the very best looking and performing sets in the industry. This set is a real beauty. Perfect blacks, true to life color and infinite contrast. I am sure the smart features are awesome, I really cannot say. I have so many smart devices already, that it is used almost exclusively as a monitor. At some point I will check them out but the reason we all buy tv's is to watch them. Picture quality comes first and this set does not disappoint.

First of all i am a fan of different brands and am a fan of a few different televisions. Coming from a Samsung Q80 i would say they are both amazing televisions. I really purchased the C1 for gaming and gaining access to the 2.1 hdmi connection. I would say if the goal is OTA or SD video (dvd, dish, etc) stick with a Samsung. If the goal is gaming and multi use other than a pc monitor stick with the LG C1. Static images can burn in on the C1. I have also seen it happen on lcd screens so really just ensure the picture shift and a screen saver is set. I would say after 20 min. Dont take chances on you 1500 dollar tv bo matter what. LCD or OLED. Do realize that the C1 could have a glare issue if facing a window. Also the brightness is not at the level of say a good qled. If in a very bright room you may want to think about a Samsung.

Where to start?! I love everything about this TV -- from its incredible picture quality, to its versatile remote, to its smart features, etc. Yes, it costs a bit more, but I'm so glad a decided to spend the extra money. The only thing I've noticed is that sometimes (rarely) the bass distorts/buzzes a bit. Other than that, absolutely no complaints.

By far the best picture on a TV I have ever seen. I have the 48" size which is perfect for my bedroom. I could only imagine how amazing the TV must look in bigger sizes.

Pictures of the screen and TV do not even do it justice, which is why I did not include any. You just have to see the picture to understand.

There is no backlight, each pixel emits its own light individually. That means infinite contrast, true blacks, the brightest whites and deepest colors. A regular LED TV will always show black as slightly "gray" because the pixels are being illuminated by a back or side light. On the LGOLED that goes completely away. Side by side there is no comparison.

If you are debating on price just get it, it will last at least 10 years compared to other TV's on the market right now and you will literally own one of the best TV's made. I got it for $1300 new on Amazon. That included tax and some discounts they were giving in addition to a slight sale which made this TV, the C1, the same price as the CX from last year. So the choice for me was a no brainer to go with the C1. It does have a faster processor and a different more user friendly UI compared to the CX as well as a better game mode.

I have my Xbox Series X and PS5 running on it and it looks stunning. Dolby vision is beautiful and the integrated game optimizer mode on the TV automatically adjusts to the game input setting when those devices are turned on, but when streaming movies through them it will turn off to improve performance which is so convenient.

TV sounds great with its built in, downward firing speakers, but I do have it connected to a sound bar, I was extremely surprised with the quality of the TV speakers despite the TV being INCREDIBLY thin.

Every time I look at it, the picture still blows me away. It is a window to another world.

This TV has the best picture of any TV I have owned. It is plenty bright enough for me, granted my viewing room is fairly dark. I use it with an Onkyo home theater set up so can't comment on the TV audio. However, all outputs from the TV work, including optical audio out without a problem. The webOS interface is fine but doesn't seem quite as smooth as the ones I am used to on Sony TVs. The overall 5 star rating is because of the excellence of the picture.

Great 120hz gaming monitor/TV. Deep blacks. Beautiful colors. The fps counter is a very welcome, and long overdue, feature. The smart apps can be a touch laggy in the UI but function well when launched.
Sound is great for built in speakers. It isn't going to replace a nice sound bar but is better than other TVs in this price range.

The subtle rosey hint in RGT85 s cheeks really pop on this screen. Have yet to test this screen with the rest of the Spawncast but look forward to doing so. The rounded dome of Modern Vintage Gamer will no doubt look glorious in HDR.

Very little assembly, just sticking two pieces together to make a stand and attaching it to the unit. Superb picture quality. Pleasantly surprised by the smart options for sound. Even without a dedicated sound bar, the TV can fill a room with surround. The base of the TV is heavy, but the top edge is quite thin and possibly fragile. Have a buddy help you pick this up. Extremely pleased with this purchase. WebOS 6.0 is not very different from previous versions of LG's software, so it took no time to get familiar with operating menus.

TV is great. Has all the features to make this gamer and future proof.

The WebOS built into the TV is clunky, not a huge fan of the pointer function built into the remote. Even in theory, it doesn't seem a great idea.

The TV is also insanely thin, so prepare for a good deal of stress when you're installing it. It's heavy and you will feel like you're going to break it.

Great TV as most other reviewers are stating. However, if you’re knowledgeable about this tv, you would know that LG is moving toward using their bright and better Evo panels (found in their G1 higher end model) for all the C1 models eventually and some retailers are already shipping the new ones. The one I bought in July from here does not have an Evo panel (verified using service remote + menu). Just something for the tech savvy to know

I was rocking a ~7-8 year old samsung that started having issues and was looking for an upgrade. I initially was only looking to spend around $1k on a new TV but prices are $300-500 higher recently for certain models such as the TCL 6 series because of supply chain and chip shortages. So I said screw it and ponied up a few hundred extra for a new top of the line model. I don't even play games but the TV is amazing. And I didn't realize LG comes with like 150 free internet tv channels as well. The magic remote is awesome to use, and the webOS apps are even better and faster than going through my roku or chromecast. Only bummer is not having HBO Max app in the TV, but I can still use chromecast for that, or airplay.

The hype is REAL. This is by far the best screen I've ever owned and I honestly don't even know how things could get all that much better from here. Watching movies & playing video games at 4K 120hz (well, 117hz - optimal refresh rate to avoid tearing issues) on this TV has been nothing short of extraordinary.

If you want an ultrawide screen, set it to 3840 x 1600. Because OLEDs have perfect blacks, you'll get a pretty decent ultrawide experience this way (ESPECIALLY at night with all the lights off!)

If this is your first OLED, please know what you're getting yourself into. Trust me when I say this TV will ruin all other screens for you ;)

    Not a paid review.

I have wanted a OLED ever since they came out. I am a tech geek. I like nice things. I like a premium experience. I really don't watch much TV so I really never bit the bullet until now. I am in a better position to make the purchase so I went with it. I ended up going with the 55". I've wanted one for at least a year.

    Software/Layout:
Software is incredible. Layout is easy to learn and easy to use. Definitely a good experience. Software seems to be updated pretty frequently too. Already had two updates within a week. Pretty straight forward there. I like that it automatically puts names on the inputs for me. (Sony soundbar/Xbox). There's tons of apps on the TV and they make it so easy to use.

    Remote:
Remote is good. Feels alright in the hand. Using the remote to move around and click things is kind of annoying so I generally just use the up/down/left/right on the remote instead to select things. The back is piano black so I suspect that the remote will scratch easy. Not a big deal. I really like that the remote has buttons for the top platforms I use to watch movies. Netflix and Prime video buttons right at your fingertips is awesome.

    Viewing Experience:
All content on this TV looks great - regardless if the content is SD/HD/4K/UHD/HDR. I mainly use this TV for Movies and 4k Gaming on the Xbox Series X. Content on the Series S was even really great for being upscaled as well before I got the X. It looked really good. I play mostly Sports games and RPG's (like assassins' creed). I really can't put it to words how great 4k looks on the tv. Everything is just so crisp and clean looking. The Last Dance was the first movie/show I watched on it. You can see the pores on MJ's face when he's speaking. It's pretty insane. The TV just works so well on all platforms.

    Settings:
There's a lot of customization on the TV which I like. I love making the viewing experience that much better to get that last 5% to put the finishing touches on the TV. You really don't have to do much to make it look good but for gaming I like the screen to be a warmer hue so it's easier on the eyes. The G-Sync built into the TV works great - no screen tears or nothing. I generally turn off the AI settings and just put into cinema/filmmaker mode when I'm watching a movie.

This is a great all-around TV. It's excels at anything you throw at it. I have been gaming more than usual and spending more time watching movies and playing games with my friends. It's not necessarily a bad thing - sometimes you need to take a break and enjoy things instead of just work work work and go go go. I generally hate spending money on things that go down in value but I am happy with my purchase.

If you're in the market for a OLED, LG is the way to go.

I mean, who has time to look for a meaningful relationship with another human being when you have this thing sitting on your wall?? It is my girlfriend now. This TV has been perfect for my personal hermit cave for the past couple months. Every single frame is stunning. It's massive (I went with the 77" model), it has all the bleeding edge gaming features you could ask for, and if you're a fan of burning through money like me and pair it with the newest Sonos wireless surround system - you'll never want to leave your house again! Sure, it's expensive relative to the plethora of other options on the TV market - but if you want the best you go with an OLED. Period. No BS. No Exceptions.

The picture is stunning. The features are great. The built in sound is surprisingly good.
Everything I run through this thing - from games to movies to streaming videos - looks noticeably better than they ever have. Coming off of a cheap black friday 4K TCL Roku TV (which only lasted 2 years before the backlight went out), this may as well be several entire generational leaps ahead in terms of literally everything a TV has to offer.

Also, being lucky enough to have been able to get a PS5 at retail price back when they first launched, my games look incredible. Hell, my current-gen games even look better than ever. Even compared to the surprisingly decent picture quality of the aforementioned TCL I had, it feels almost like going from SD to HD back in the early 2000s.

My only (very minor) gripe is that the 'Home' menu defaults to using the remote's motion pointer function, which doesn't switch off until you push a directional button. This causes navigating the menu to be annoying for a couple of seconds each time I need to use it. There's probably a way to customize this behavior, but I haven't found the setting for it.

TL;DR - EXTREMELY good TV. A bit pricey (current full price is $1,800), but quality tends to be.

I got my 48" TV today. It is nice and bright compared to last year's 65". Haven't spent much time with it yet, but I will say that there is no cursor for the remote like last year. The settings say that it is on, but there just isn't a cursor. I have to use the arrows/enter/back buttons.

Since the settings mention the cursor, I would expect there to be one.

The picture is amazing. This is our first OLED, but we are blown away. The blacks are amazing. Gaming is phenomenal, but make sure to use the correct HDMI cable and port (HDMI 4?) in order to take full advantage of 4K gaming. The remote takes some getting used to, but we have grown to love it.

The picture is amazing! In a dark room the screen really shines - the blacks are true black and the colors are bright and clear.

This TV is exceptionally thin. I feels like it needs especially careful handling when moving it about. Once set up, it performs magnificently. With Dolby Vision on, the sharpness and colors are as good as any I have seen. One does not expect a lot from the sound built into the TV, but I was surprised at how good it was both in clarity and in range, with low frequency sounds surprisingly good. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase.

The TV is fabulous. Everything I read about it has been accurate. However, I was EXTREMELY disappointed with the seller (Amazon Services) and the shipper they selected because it6 was literally impossible to communicate with either. A delivery date was scheduled on which I had to be home to accept. They did not advise of any change, it was not delivered, and I had absolutely no way to follow up. Several days later I received notice of a revised delivery date, with no option for me to approve it. If things had not worked out I would have had to cancel the purchase on CC but they very well may have not approved it. Personally, if I had it to do over again, I would go to BestBuy or some other retailer who is accountable and can be reached. I have no way of reviewing the seller, but I will be forever wary of purchasing when Amazon is the seller.

I cannot comment on smart features as I do not really use smart features on my TVs other than NetFlix and Prime. For those, and for gaming, this is a fabulous TV that I absolutely recommend.

I upgraded from the C9 55" for almost 2 years to the C1 77" once it was available. I used the same wall mount with hdmi cables and power behind the wall. Don't judge the picture quality right out the box with regular HD content from your cable service. It took about a 7-10 days for the OLED to improved its picture quality to 4K up-scaling levels with xfinity HD channels. I don't have a lot of natural light in our main TV room and the OLED is perfect for us. I switch between "Expert Bright" during the day and "Expert Dark" at night. Sound quality is good; but, I have a Nakamichi Shockwafe Elite 7.2.4 soundbar for much improved sound.

The only disadvantage or issue with the 77" C1 is the screen is glossy and will reflect like a mirror. I can adjust my wall mount angle tilt/up/down/left/right/in/out to move the screen from window or ceiling light reflections. A big plus with OLEDs is having an extremely wide viewing angle to limit glare compared to LCDs. Glare could be an issue if you flush mount on the wall or can't adjust tilt using the stand.

Not a gamer. HD and 4K content on Netfilx, Amazon Prime, YouTube, Disney+, etc... looks outstanding. Lots of content on YouTube in 4K or 8K formats if you want to see the full firepower of this OLED.

An absolute upgrade over anything that isn't OLED. went from the LG 55-inch nano tech 4k to this and WOW. The difference really is astronomical. So vivid, input lag for gaming is basicly non existant, ease of control and navigation. I love the fact this thing is 2 mm thick too. Just wild. I was definitely hesitant on spending this much money to upgrade but to be honest, we're thinking about upgrading the main rooms TV already. You can't go wrong with this tv

Get one now. Don't worry about the flagship Sony or LG G1 being brighter on a 10% window, can't tell in most cases anyway, certainly not in streaming content. If you own a disc player and physical media that is able to provide a true High Dynamic Range (HDR) Ultra High Definition (UHD) source then you're in for the best viewing experience in 2021.

The 77-inch version is exceptional from edge to edge. Price might be a bit hard to justify, but we weren't using vacation money during the pandemic anyway, right?

The C1 is using the new "Evo" panel with the updated screen technology from 2021. It might only make sense to pay the difference for the gallery G1 series TV if your room was constantly flooded with sunlight and you could really benefit from the small increase.

Some issues have been noted using LG disc players with LG OLED TVs, so sadly I can't recommend sticking with the same brand of Blu Ray player. Paired this with a Pansonic DP-UB420-K Blu Ray Player, a Dolby Atmos receiver and speaker setup. It's better than the theater in almost every way, save for the layers of guilt I experience drenching my own popcorn in theater-levels of butter. Oh, and the cost for all that hardware, no getting around that pocketbook pain either if you're looking to create that experience.

Any negatives about the 77-inch LG C1 involve the home screen in WebOS 6 and the software on that home screen. It seems like I'm being advertised to primarily, then my uses for the TV are slightly deprecated. The internet TV channels barely work, and seem to require some sort of account sign up. This wasn't, and isn't, the same on my Samsung HDR TV from 2019. Advertising and data collection evolution is here to stay.

Go watch the review videos from HDTVTest and Stop the FOMO, then just buy this already. The picture is better than I expected it would be. For the price I had very high expectations. This is the first OLED TV in our house. Makes me want to replace all the LCD units with similar technology. It's a bit elitist to suggest this TV was worth it, but for our household and use, it really seems like a good value and choice.

The set up was the hardest I've ever done. The screen is b this thin glass screen completely separate from the stand. I guess all of the electronics to drive the pixels are now all in the glass...anyway, definitely a two man job. But, man oh man, when you do finally do get the screen mounted on the base, it is hands down the best picture I've ever seen. I ran my PS with all the new gold plated usb high speed cables and PS4 games that I have been playing for years looked completely new and vibrant. 4K content on Prime is breathing (I did a tour of Hawaii.... wow) and regular movies are terrific. Also, the sound is very impressive for a regular TV without a soundboard or anything. A good buy!
