I was starting to despair about finding something that would work for our kitchen and after buying machines and returning all of them we finally found this one. The motor has way more torque than even the higher end Kitchen Aid. It is harder to find attachments but the overall power, usability and versatility makes this one a winner. This is the type of machine for which I could say that we were too poor to buy a cheap one... So many cheaper ones out there which would not last or would not be put to use because of design flaws.

I absolutely love this stand mixer, EXCEPT FOR ONE ISSUE, when I use it to mix bread dough, after the dough is done mixing, I am unable to remove the mixing bowl from the unit, because it tightens during the process of mixing, as a result I have to ask a male neighbor or my son (who lives far away) to come over to remove the mixing bowl from the unit.

I had this stand mixer transshipped to Trinidad, so I did not have the option to return it, unless I decided to pay another set of shipping fees, which of course would be too costly.

Hopefully someone reading this review can offer some advice for the easy removal of the mixing bowl from the stand mixer

I purchased this mixer as a very good condition from a seller in Florida. Fantastic purchase! It is much more powerful than my last mixer and the 7qt bowl is large enough to handle anything. I love that you can adjust the beater and whisk up and down as needed to perfectly fit your bowl.

I did purchase a High Temperature Flexible Beater AT502 from a UK site and it fits perfectly and really completes the mixer. I wish Kenwood would sell these in the US directly. I'm not sure why they don't. (I would list the site but I'm fairly certain I'm not allowed to state outside links)

The only downside to this mixer is the lack of attachments available in the US for purchase. I'm not bothered by this because I only plan to use it as a mixer. There are some other attachments available in the same site I purchased the flexible beater from but they are generally too expensive for me.

We are very happy with our new Kenwood. Although it was sold as used, all the packaging was intact. Mixer and parts look brand new, never used. It works like a dream. So quiet. Handled 12 cups of cookie dough with ease. This mixer is replacing my 33 year old Kitchen Aid 5 qt., which still works. We needed something that handled bigger batches. We are very thankful for the Kenwood.

I got one of the few half-price, "used in good condition", mixers. What a steal! It was in the original packaging, and everything was intact. There are a few scuff marks on the top and side, but absolutely nothing that would affect performance. I had never heard of this brand, and am so glad I checked the holiday deals.

I've been mixing everything by hand for years because I hate my Kitchen Aid mixer, but I'm getting old and my arms and shoulders don't like mixing by "armstrong." I did try to make peanut butter protein cookies with the old KA recently, and not only is that thing just too small, but it started to slip gears and smell like it was going to burn up.

So far, I am thrilled with this beast, and it is a beast in the best sense of the word. It handled my super-thick protein cookie recipe with ease, and I've been using it for everything lately. The 7 quart bowl is so much bigger than the 4.5 quart bowl on the KA, and it fits my normal double or triple recipes. Things that would take me half an hour by hand or would make the KA slip gears and smoke, take a few seconds with this monster.

Now we're talking about attachments, and the goal is to replace all of our appliances with things that use the power take-offs on this mixer, starting with the food processor attachment. Seriously, this mixer has THREE power take-offs and has a gazillion attachments. I'm also coveting the grinder attachment to replace my Magic Bullet.

I'm sure that this is worth paying full price because it's that good! I'm a penny pincher, though, and am glad to have found the deal on the used mixers. This was basically an open-box deal and I am thrilled with it.

M y husband insisted we buy a Kenwood as that is what his mom used in the Caribbean. We got the first one in the U.S. and were sorry we didn’t get the larger model. Then we. oved to the Caribbean and found this model in a local store and bought it, fortunately at a much better price. I’m sure like everything it has gone up in price since we purchased it. I have so many attachments from my first Kenwood and have added to them. We’ve made sausage, pasta, breads, so much it’s just amazing. At one point kitchenaid did not have hardly ant attachments like this Kenwood has. I have not had an issue with attachments going from an American version to using the UK version, everything has fit and worked well. It is a work horse. We have the original glass bowl from my mother in law’s old machine. I really wish it fit on this.

This appliance is an elegant bulldog. I have used it for 7-9c bread mix from light to extremely heavy dough; high hydration sourdough to low hydration bagel dough. This machine has the power to knead no sweat. It runs quietly and on only the toughest dough tends to walk on the counter a little bit. I designed a fix-flat board with recesses for the feet and it stays absolutely still under heaviest dough hook loads.
Made a fabulous HOT Italian sausage grinding the pork shoulder (5lbs) and stuffing the casing. Best sausage I've ever had!
This is a fabulous machine that is easy to use and simple to clean. Very versatile with host of attachments. The beaters are HEAVY stainless steel and all adjustable for proper bowl clearance.
Not to large or heavy with all metal gear transmission and aluminum body. Has high, medium and low speed attachment points.
Designed and engineered in England for decades and now produced in China with superb UK quality production control.
